Terrible behavior by the staff at the emergency. Being misleading on purpose so the don't have to rush with a treatment of my friend until he started vomiting so bad that the people in the queue started walking out of the room.

Went there with what I later found out was a damaged ligament. The doctors, nurses and HCA are fantastic. Really attentive. They were clearly over worked and stretched thin. But I never like my care was rushed or neglected. I can’t speak higher of them. Thanks Michell.

If I could give no stars I would . This is My local hospital and everytime I’ve been to the emergency room busy or quiet I’ve always ended up waiting 8 hours plus . You’d be letting crawling on the floor with pain before they even give a notion towards you . The staff are at the desk are basically retail workers that haven’t a breeze . You’d give them signs that you’re about to have a heart attack and they’ll tell you to have a seat : what type of hospital is this kip ? Seriously you’re better off travelling to James hospital then here . No progression has been made here in the last 10 years and that’s a fact . 👍

Thank you for helping me with my emergency situation over the Christmas period . You all do brilliant work and looked after me really well . All I could think about when I first arrived was to imagine a world where such services didn't exist . . And then I realised how far we have come as a planet . The care I witnessed was not just for me , but the hundred or so other people . You went above and beyond just for me . Many thanks

I wondered if the reviews of this place were truthful. No, it was much, much worse. Was trained in good time. I explained I had pelvic pain but I was also feeling depressed due to some difficult life events. I explained to triage that I would like a female doctor and explained the reasons why. She then tries to put me in an actual padded room. Great way to make people feel better! I refused and I was put back in the waiting room. After some time, a male doctor approached me. I explained I wasn’t comfortable seeing him but he tried to insist. I then went to reception and tried to explain the situation to the woman behind the desk. She was truly awful and said she wasn’t speaking to me as I had already had that conversation with her? I handle spoken to her and had booked in with a different woman. I asked to speak to the person in charge and she said I had spoken to her already so can’t speak to her again. I told her I hadn’t spoken to her and she called me a liar and then told me to just go away. I asked if I could just leave and was told that she didn’t care what I did. I then rang the hospital and asked to speak to someone in charge. The man refused and told me to speak to reception before hanging up on me. I went there for help and was left in tears that ended in a panic attack. I was ignored by the staff and other patients helped me. I was then called back in by a male nurse. Another patient accompanied me as I didn’t feel comfortable going alone. The nurse said I have to sit inside as I keep running away? I was still in the waiting room. I again asked for a male doctor and told I can’t dictate who I see. They put me in a chair in a corridor and like every other review has said, I have been sat here for 10 hours now. I am 25 weeks pregnant and I have not been offered anything, just left. I’m really not hopeful of receiving any help.

I am very disappointed with the department. I was refered there from VHI to do CT and have further investigation of my pain in a hip that was not going away and was unable to walk. I had to go there with my newly born baby as I was breastfeeding. I was waiting there forever. No priority for mother and baby whatsoever, which I think it's disgusting. I understand that i might not be 1st in the queue but those circumstances should be taken into account. They put me in a family room and left me there for hours. Not bothered that my baby will be there for a night in a car seat. Irish health system needs a serious reform!! Or more human and common sense approach from staff.

There are about 15 people ahead of us in line. In an hour, no one has been called. Only triage. No doctor has called anyone, so the queue isn't moving. We came with a person who had vomited six times in three hours. We asked them for something to stop this vomiting. They didn't give us anything. We asked them to turn down the volume on the television, which was very loud. They did not turn it down, despite our repeated requests (no one was watching the television). In the end, we paid €100 and waited five hours to be served. It was 2 a.m.! Never come here.

I had to attend 2 days before Christmas and I expected to be here all day, but I was seen, diagnosed and discharged within 3 hours, which was such a relief. Everyone was very friendly and efficient, and doing their best to see everyone taken care of.
