I have been here for a few different procedures recently, including a septoplasty with Prof. Mohamed Amin and two colonoscopies with Dr. Shamindra Direkze.
The hospital itself is modern, spotless, and very well laid out. Parking is €3 per hour, and the internal directions to the various units are clear with comfortable seating areas. The clinical team is outstanding. Prof. Amin and his secretary Lauren were great, and Dr. Direkze and his secretary Samantha were brilliant too.
A big shoutout must go to Emmanuel, who assisted Dr. Direkze. He was incredibly friendly, chatty, and guided me through breathing exercises to completely put me at ease during the pain.
The recovery tea, toast, and bourbon biscuits were also the best I have ever tasted after a long fast!!! 😁
I did encounter a few issues at this hospital though, mostly to do with the admin side. I received contradictory automated texts demanding payment for a day-case procedure that the consultant's office had already cancelled. There was also confusion from the desk staff quoting a 4-6 week turnaround for biopsies while I was managing a flare, alongside a disruptive same-day clinic cancellation after I had already rearranged my work rosters.
Despite this, the actual patient care from the doctors and nurses is amazing. The treatment here is pricey but worth it for the speed, peace of mind, and top-tier clinical standard.
Went in for a day procedure and had an amazing experience. I was in pain & Dr John Burke was very helpful to treat me within a few days. He is a thorough professional. Also a big shout-out to nurse Joanne who was so warm & friendly, and Kathrina & Martin who looked after me after the procedure was done. They were all super nice and so kind!
Bon Secours Hospital Dublin is always 5 star quality. Car parking, reception, lifts, medical wards, medical departments, radiology, and consultants offices are all top class. What's more they have been consistently top class for many years, in fact for decades. This is a fine example of a private/semi-private hospital as it should be run. Highly recommended.

Before and during the appointment, I was fully informed about the stages and method of the allergy test, as well as the price. The atmosphere was calm and positive. I underwent my second bunion surgery yesterday, and I cannot recommend this hospital highly enough. Once again, my experience was excellent. Every nurse and doctor made me feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the entire process. I am especially grateful to the nurse who stayed by my side as I woke up, attentively listening to how I was feeling and ensuring I was taken care of.
Being far from home is never easy, but having compassionate and professional people around during moments like these makes an enormous difference. My sincere thanks once again to the whole team. ❤️
I recently underwent a vaginal hysterectomy at Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin. Every member of staff I encountered, from the reception to the pre assessment team, medical team and the aftercare nurses and health care assistants provided an excellent service and did so with compassion and understanding. They made a very stressful situation more bearable. A special THANK YOU to Dr Yahya Kamal and his team for everything they did for me.
Went in for an endoscopy. I'm not great with medical stuff, but the staff there were all amazing, very kind and walked me through everything. Thank you to Lauren, Edel, Siobhan, Siya, Dr Gleeson, Patrick and anyone I may be missing (sorry, there were lots of names!)
The hospital itself is also nice, clean and modern.

I went to this hospital for ankle surgery, and the experience was very positive. All the staff I dealt with — the surgeon, the anaesthetist, and the nurses — made me feel safe at all times and looked after me in a very kind and warm manner.
