I had the opportunity to see closely the work of the oncology team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, particularly in the Cedar ward, while someone close to me was receiving care there.
The level of professionalism, clinical expertise, and organization of the oncology unit was very impressive. The doctors, nurses, and support staff work with a high level of dedication and compassion, and the overall environment is respectful, calm, and supportive during very difficult moments.
It is difficult to imagine a better hospital. The quality of the facilities, the technology, and the professionalism of the teams are truly remarkable. The entire place reflects a very high standard of care and professionalism, making it a unique environment for patients and families.
I was an inpatient for 5 nights in January 2026 and was in Cypress ward and I have nothing but praise for Mr. Conor Hurson and all the amazing staff who took such good care of me. My nurse Beulah Joseph was so caring and is dedicated to her job, as is nurse Eileen and Ettle. The Physiotherapists Tom, Andrew & Aoife are so professional and great at what they do. I would highly recommend Mr. Hurson & all the staff at St Vincent's Private Hospital. I wish I could remember all the staffs names because each and every one of them gave me great care.

I was a patient at SVP today as a day patient for a procedure under general anaesthetic. The care I received from admission to final discharge was excellent. The admissions nurse Bernie Byrnes’ care and attention to detail couldn’t be excelled. The lovely porter Vincent made my transfers a delight. The anaesthetist was gentle caring and very skilled. Dr Zara Kelly visited me during recovery reassured me and explained everything to me. The much anticipated tea n toast came as ordered n was hot n tasty. The young ‘Jerret’ James happily escorted me down stairs to meet my son who collected me. A truly caring n great experience. Keep up the good work.

Just back from a 4 x night stay here, after undergoing lap chole surgery by Professor Tom Gallagher. Room was spacious, lots of natural light, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
From the outset, I was treated with dignity and respect. Every single staff member on the Elm Ward up on the 6th floor, deserves a pay rise for their 10 star patient care skills. I cannot thank you all enough for your care and empathy. It made surgery so much more tolerable. Nothing was too much effort and such a nice welcoming atmosphere.
Keep up the fantastic work, guys. You're a credit to Irish health care 👏
I got my meniscus trim surgery over there.I have got mixed experience which I want to share..
6 days before my surgery suddenly i got call from admin that I have to pay my hospital bills right away because they dont have contract with my insurer! It was a hell of day for my. I panicked so much!
Then I emailed to my surgeon assistant whether i have to pay surgery fees upfront or not! 2 days before surgery i heard back from them that yeah I have to pay 7 days before!
The telephone, admin, email, finance service is horrible like a nightmare! When I asked the breakdown of hospital bills they said nothing!
Anyway I was feeling negative and had zero expectation from them. Was worried about my surgery.
But, to my surprise.. Nurses of my ward were amazing, friendly and super helful. Forgot their names but they were super cautious.
And all thanks to my surgeon Dr Conor hurson and his team for the surgery they did on me. Within 15 days I am back on my feet. And feeking greatful of them.
Good hospital equipped with well maintained modern facilities. COVID protocols were seriously adhered. All the staffs right from receptionist, nurses were good. Nurses were especially very kind and helpful. The doctor we dealt with was fine too. We didn't receive the procedure details and invite letter from the secretary but on calling the reception team, they were super helpful and sent us the same immediately.
I had a day case procedure there this morning. From arriving I saw Cecilia helping an older lady login to get her waiting number. Then asking others if they needed a hand.
Then Linda on reception got me a loan of a pair of reading glasses as I forgot them! Def above her pay grade.
On the ward every single person I dealt with were so kind. Corrine was my main nurse, but the blond lady with the gap in her teeth (she won’t mind as I complimented her on it) got me an extra blanket as I was shivering, when that didn’t work she got me a thing that warms up. Both were just lovely.
Tea and toast was perfect after procedure.
