This review is inductive of my overall experience, not necessarily this location. The ONLY reason I gave two stars was because one of the techs was very nice, it was clean, and they were on time.
I got bombarded with scheduling requests, often multiple times a day. I made an appointment and still received an incredible amount of notifications. Two days before my exam I was told it was two days early. I rescheduled only to be bombarded again. The day before I'm told the machine is down and to reschedule. So we go through the whole process again.
The day of, I got my mammogram plus ultrasound. My doctor called me that day to tell me test results are benign and we're good until next year. Then I got emails from Simon med saying I needed an ultrasound. I HAD one that same day. Today I got an email telling me masses were found and I require additional testing. Now I sit here on a weekend with nowhere to turn.I am relying on my doctor's call more than these emails but it's still scary Great job, Simon Med.
I was very happy with my visit. My very first mammogram so I was a little nervous. Every one was incredibly nice and professional starting with the front desk. The doctor that performed my mamo was very quick and professional and made me feel at ease and I was very comfortable.
The tech support staff were incredibly helpful, patient, and kind throughout the process, and I truly appreciated their assistance. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk staff was very different.
In Building 5, a young lady at the front desk was rude and actually walked away while we were trying to get corrected directions to the proper building for the MRI. Once we arrived at the correct building, the experience was similar — the front desk staff seemed bothered, unfriendly, and lacking basic customer service.
While the medical and technical support was excellent, the front desk interactions left a negative impression and could definitely be improved.
If you are running more than 30 minutes behind you should let your appointments know. An hour behind with out a notice is redicoulous. I guess friendliness doesn't matter for you staff as our options are limited but hire some friendly people for the front.
Next time I need an MRI I will find a different company. Don't get me started on the foreign call center this company uses. So difficult to understand the appointment setter.
Went there for my first mammogram. Shelby did a great job making the awkward experience very comfortable and smooth. Her positive energy and friendly approach put me at ease and the whole process was very quick.
Although they send out a lot of texts and email reminders and correspondence I did really enjoy my experience at this office. It’s conveniently located, no wait time for my scheduled appointment, and my mammogram technician was awesome! I’ve had them before and this time I can genuinely say was painless. 10/10 great job. Now let’s just hope I don’t get a bill in the mail, haha.
I had an extremely frustrating experience at SimonMed while trying to complete a CT scan and would like to bring it to management’s attention.
When I arrived for my appointment, I checked in with a receptionist named Ruby. During the check-in process, she informed me that there were pre-scan instructions I was supposed to have followed, including fasting and drinking a specific amount of water. This was the first time I had heard of these instructions. Nothing was communicated to me when I scheduled the appointment, and there were no instructions available in my patient portal.
When I explained this, Ruby seemed dismissive and repeatedly stated that those were the instructions, without acknowledging that they had never been provided to me. As someone who had taken time away from work and prepared for this appointment, I found this very upsetting.
I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager was not in. When I asked when the manager would return, Ruby appeared unsure and stated that she did not know. It was only after another receptionist stepped in that I was informed the manager, Jennifer, would be back on Tuesday.
Ruby then told me she had spoken with the technician and that I would not be able to complete the scan that day and would need to return. When I asked about the soonest available appointment, she casually responded that it would probably be the next day and made no effort to explore other options. Again, it was the receptionist sitting next to her who stepped in and offered to see whether arrangements could be made for me to return later that same day.
After I left and had already driven all the way home, I received a phone call from the other receptionist. She informed me that Ruby had failed to review my order correctly. My CT scan had been ordered without contrast, meaning the fasting and hydration instructions did not apply to me at all. As a result, I had been sent away unnecessarily.
I then had to use additional personal time from work and drive all the way back to the facility for a scan that could have been completed during my original appointment. What was most disappointing was that when I returned, Ruby did not acknowledge the mistake, apologize, or even speak to me.
The entire situation could have been avoided had my order been reviewed correctly from the beginning. I am very grateful to the second receptionist who took the time to investigate the issue, correct the mistake, and ensure I was able to complete my scan that same day. Unfortunately, my interaction with Ruby was one of the most frustrating healthcare customer service experiences I have encountered.
I would appreciate a call from the office manager, Jennifer, to discuss this situation further. My goal is not simply to complain, but to understand what steps can be taken to prevent other patients from experiencing the same unnecessary inconvenience, stress, and wasted time.
Worse lab experience ever! Visit 1, I had xray done. My doctor said extremely poor quality they should re-do. He spoke with their rep who agreed. They were to call to reschedule. Didn't so I went in requesting re-do. No information in my records so wouldn't re take xray unless radio tech approved. Doctor spoke to tech who agreed not good quality. Doctor told of past missed break. Tech amended record based on that discussion not yhe current xray. I went in 3rd time requesting re-do. Front desk personnel and supervisor said since amended record no retake needed. Every day I continue to get text and emails saying come in for your appointment....but front desk says not needed. I'm done with Simon Med. SMIL is way more patient service oriented and they do quality work.
