I’m not a fan of Dr. Lodha, though thankfully I only had to see him once. I go in for a specific treatment, and he tried to push skincare for acne he pointed out, which was not a concern of mine.
Additionally, I mentioned a medical change that I felt was correlated with the medication I was receiving during my treatments. He was very dismissive and said, “No, the medicine does not do that.”
However, I called my general practitioner the same day, and she said it was more than likely being caused by the medication. I also asked a few other doctors—since I am a marketing advisor for a medical group—and they agreed it could very well be the cause.
That said, he does appear to invest a lot of time and money into his own skincare and seems to pay more attention to that aspect.
On a positive note, I am a very big fan of Nicoline Tegnell, the PA there. She has excellent bedside manner, remembers details, and has an overall great disposition.
My experiences with the receptionists have also always been pleasant, and I think they have a superb appointment-tracking system that sends reminder texts.
I cannot say enough good things about Nicoline, PA-C at Pura Dermatology. She is absolutely the best — compassionate, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and truly caring. She takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make you feel comfortable and supported. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and wants the best for them. I feel so lucky to have found her and would recommend Nicoline and Pura Dermatology to anyone looking for an amazing dermatology provider.
I had a great experience with Nicoline Tegnell, PA-C. She is very professional and knowledgeable about dermatology treatments. I came in with several acne issues on my face, and her treatment made a noticeable difference.

I've been going through hard time for a year trying to get diagnosed with my bad skin problem. Went to a multiple doctors and never had as much attention and care as Dr. Nicoline Tegnell gave me. Most doctors prescribe topicals and just let me go. Dr. Tegnell spent a lot of time asking me questions, doing a deep biopsy that noone offered me before and ordering a bunch of tests. I feel a relieve to deal with a caring professional and strongly recommend her as a dermatologist at Pura Dermatology.

Dr. Lodha is the dermatologist I trust in New York City. Are you a woman of a certain age who wants to look beautiful but even more passionately wants to manage years of happy swimming in the Western sun long before sunscreens? in other words, do what we can to avoid skin cancer? Dr. Lodha is not ageist, is respectful of all patients, listens wonderfully and helps dispel anxiety through kindness. Skillful biopsies and other treatments for AKs, basal, squamous. Most importantly if you have something that needs to be seen urgently he will work you in. He and his staff are the best! He takes Medicare.
