I had an outstanding experience at this dermatology office and cannot say enough good things about the entire team. Especially Dr Bernstein, Aimee and Alyssa they made me feel welcomed and valued as a patient.
What truly stood out was the extraordinary effort they put into confirming my insurance coverage before my appointment and treatment. Rather than simply providing basic information, the staff took the time to thoroughly verify my benefits, explain what was covered, discuss any potential out-of-pocket costs, and answer all of my questions. Their attention to detail and willingness to advocate on my behalf helped eliminate any uncertainty or stress. It was clear that they genuinely cared about ensuring I understood my coverage and could make informed decisions about my care.
They all were impressive—knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive. They took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explain my treatment to ensure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I never felt rushed, and I genuinely appreciated that!

Dr. Leonard J. Bernstein at Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York is truly one of the top dermatologists in the United States. We’re very fortunate to have a physician of his caliber here in NYC.
He is calm, professional, and extremely knowledgeable, with a clear depth of expertise in his field. From the initial consultation through treatment, everything felt thoughtful and well-executed.
His staff is excellent as well—friendly, organized, and always available to answer any questions, which makes the entire experience seamless.
He came highly recommended, and he absolutely lived up to it. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for top-tier dermatologic care.
While I didn't like having to have the surgery, the post op plastic surgery portion was excellent considering the depth and size of the hole on my nose. Dr Wilson is not only an excellent surgeon, but he has a wonderful bedside manner, a witty sense of humor, and made me feel comfortable and in good hands. Today's visit was to review how the surgery looks now that it has healed. He made two recommendations and took excellent care of me. I so appreciate dealing with doctors such as Dr Wilson. If, and when, I need this type of surgery again, I know where to go and who to see. Thank you! (And thanks to Emma, who was very nice.)
I know that Dr Seidenberg knows what he's doing. Ive been going to him since 2022 to have my skin thoroughly checked and appropriate tests performed. Even though I am a complete baby when it comes to needles, etc, he is patient and gentle as is his assistant. Also, my wait time was minimal. Excellant service. Great doctor
Overall excellent experience. Staff efficient and kind. Doctor Bae is so talented! She does my Botox, filler and sofwave with her. I always look natural. but better. Very highly recommend.
My appointment was with Dr. Bernstein, who was very patient with me, and listened to my concerns about the possibility of having additional Mohs surgery. He explained that there were options other than skin grafts to close the post-procedure wound.
Also, I really appreciated that nurse Caitlin (spelling?) was extremely helpful and supportive throughout my appointment, but especially after the biopsy on my leg. She explained the necessary wound care and provided me with adequate bandages. All in all, this was a great team effort.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I saw Dr. Seo for the first time for something that falls under the scope of a Dermatologist. I selected the exact issue when I scheduled the appointment, so they knew what I was coming in for.
After 3 separarte people making sure I paid my $40 copay, I was taken back to the room. Dr. Seo came into the room for about 60 seconds, told me she couldn’t see what I was showing her on my face, said they “wouldn’t even touch me until I got an ultrasound”, which would be done by my Primary Care Physician, then left the room. I showed her a photo of my issue in different lighting where it was more apparent when she returned, to which she then rudely said “we are in agreement that it’s there”, then told me “if god forbid it’s malignant, then I would need to go a different route”, then left the room again and that was the end of my appointment. The appointment in total lasted about 3 minutes with Dr. Seo.
Never have I left an appointment feeling more frustrated and less cared for as a patient. I left with pen marks on my forehead, more questions and anxiety than before, less money, and a feeling of helplessness.
I had planned on Dr. Seo becoming my dermatologist in the city, but after this visit I would not recommend this doctor to anyone and will not be returning.
