I’ve been seeing Dr. Ginsberg for about 8 years now, and he’s honestly the best. He caught a small melanoma early and quickly got me scheduled to take care of it, which I’m so grateful for. Because of my medical history, I still get a little anxious going into appointments, but he always makes me feel comfortable and at ease. He’s kind, personable, and has such great bedside manner. I truly trust him and plan to keep seeing him for the long run!
Excellent experience for both routine check-ups and specific concerns. The care was very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. I was especially impressed by the patience and attentiveness of both the doctor and the nurse, Chloe and Michelle. I arrived early and was seen within minutes, which was greatly appreciated. Dr. Eidelman was also extremely detailed and clear when explaining the treatment options.

I received cheek filler from Dr. Ginsberg in September. About 20 minutes after the injection, I developed significant pain on the left side of my face. Dr. Ginsberg dissolved all of the filler on that side before I left the office and told me to call if I had any issues that evening.
Later that night, the pain became severe. I called the office but found there was no way to reach anyone after hours. Fortunately, through my own contacts, I was able to reach a specialist and arrange care elsewhere.
The following day, I was seen at a practice with ultrasound imaging, which confirmed a hematoma in my jaw. I was unable to fully open my mouth for five weeks. I also experienced an occlusion. I am grateful that Dr. Ginsberg dissolved the filler, as the outcome could have been much worse. However, I still have an area of permanent skin discoloration where the occlusion occurred.
There was little to no follow-up from the office after the complication. I have also requested my medical records twice and have not received a response.
I'm sure this practice does many things well. However, my experience was that it functioned more like a med spa than a medical office. There was no after-hours coverage, no ultrasound available to evaluate a complication, and little follow-up afterward.
I don't usually write reviews. However, after seeing a recent post describing a similar experience, I felt it was important to share mine in the hope that others in my community can make an informed decision.
As anyone should, I used Google to pull up options (although my PCP at Sullivan Medical Midtown would have recommended someone). I didn't need aesthetic dermatology. I needed an annual skin exam. I also haven't had, and hoped, that I wouldn't need, medical skin care. I felt completely comfortable with what I read about Chelsea Skin & Laser. I arrived an hour early because I had traveled from Orange County. I was taken into the exam room early. The tech assistant was an good humoured, and professional. The doctor himself couldn't have been more friendly, and professional. If you are in need of basic care- I write this because, again, that's why I chose them- book your appointment now.
Very disappointed. Whilst Cloe was excellent on the day - fast, polite and professional, the following up bill was a complete surprise. I booked this visit via Zocdoc as a preventive annual skin check (100% covered by insurance). It was then billed as a diagnostic annual with 2 diagnosis given for a melanoma, which is totally incorrect. This was then billed differently to my insurance so I was personally changed along with my insurance coverage. I was there for my annual, no concerns and issues found - in and out in 10mins. My insurance company confirmed this had been billing incorrectly, contacted the clinic and they refused to amend it accordingly. Had they made thia clear I would not have gone to that clinic, they completely misrepresented thier annual check to make more money. Please be aware of thier billing practices on annuals before booking - they refuse to code an annual as preventive.
I wasn’t going to write a review about my first and last experience here, but a recent sales call from the clinic prompted me to share it.
I visited Dr Ginsberg a year ago for a small amount of Botox and filler. I had previously had both in modest amounts, for a natural look, administered by a board-certified plastic surgeon. I explained my concerns, what I had done in the past, and left it to Dr Ginsberg to make his recommendation. He suggested Botox and filler under my eyes, which I had never done before, in addition to the usual locations. I trusted his advice and went ahead with it.
Within a couple of days, the results were very concerning.
I had deep, wavy smile lines in my cheeks that were never there before, and it was asymmetrical. The effect under my eyes also made me look very different. I was extremely distressed, having never asked for or experienced anything like this before.
I returned to the clinic, where Dr Ginsberg said the result was due to my face, muscles, or tolerance. He dissolved what he could to address the deep lines on my cheeks and the under-eye filler.
I left shaken by the experience and $3k lighter.
I never received any follow-up or check-in from Dr Ginsberg or the clinic. Then, around a year later, they called to let me know I was probably due to come back.

I understand that results can vary and that it is not an exact science. But when a result clearly has not gone as hoped, I would expect some acknowledgment and some duty of care after the visit. Instead, I felt blamed for the outcome, was left unhappy with the result, and never received any follow-up.
Don’t know the last time I walked into a doctors office, was seen immediately, had no questions about my weird insurance, was not met with a bill, and had a doctor that went above and beyond to explain things and offer suggestions. I plan to see Cloe Savino for all my skin needs for as long as she’ll have me!!!!
