Nobody wants to have surgery and be in the hospital, but if you have to, this is the place. From the doctors and nurses to the other support they are all not only professional also extremely caring.
The Healing Garden is truly an amazing place!! The the sunset view from my room was absolutely beautiful.
We are incredibly grateful for the care we received during the birth of our son. Erin, Labor and Delivery unit, was one of the most nurturing and attentive nurses we could have hoped for during such an emotional and vulnerable time. My wife has a very difficult time with needles and had already experienced multiple failed IV attempts before Erin stepped in. She was kind, patient, and compassionate enough to stay past her scheduled shift just to personally start my wife’s IV and help make the experience less stressful. That level of care meant so much to us.
Madison, Labor and Delivery unit, also made a huge impact on our experience. When my wife expressed concerns after a newer nurse had overlooked parts of our birth plan and crossed a few small boundaries that made us uncomfortable, Madison responded with true ownership, professionalism, and empathy. She listened carefully, made us feel heard, and immediately helped restore our confidence and comfort. She provided additional support in such a gentle and understanding way that truly resonated with my wife both before and after delivery. She even stayed past her shift to help ensure our transition into postpartum care went smoothly, and thanks to her, it absolutely did.
Our midwife, Ellie Tan, was absolutely crucial throughout delivery. Her experience and confidence truly showed every step of the way. She expertly guided my wife through different birthing positions and techniques, helping her feel supported and empowered during labor. Her knowledge, calm presence, and attentive postpartum care made an enormous difference in our birth experience.
We will always remember the compassion, professionalism, and dedication these women showed our family during one of the most important moments of our lives. Thank you all for making such a meaningful difference!
Let's first start off with the parking: absolutely awful. They had one parking garage nearby that was full even though they were still admitting people into it. Parking garage you have to pay for.
I was stuck in the parking lot for an hour trying to find parking and finally found a valet that was accepting cars.
I was visiting a relative and found out that they had low blood sugar because they had not been provided with any food for over 24 hours and no one had bothered to check on this or change dietary restrictions. My relative was promised caffeine, but it was never given. They were told that as a consolation they had been told that there would be food dropped off to them extra. This food was something they had told them over and over and over they are unable to eat.
I had to push and push and push for them to get any food and even then it arrived several hours late. It also took quite a while to hear anything about discharge and I found the staff only did things for my relative when I was in the room.
I have two stars to acknowledge that there were some nurses and staff that were kind, but 1 star to the nurse at the front of desk who ignored me and just continued to text on their phones (most of the nurses were texting or chatting amongst themselves).
They made the scariest days of my life…manageable and make sense. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the rheumatology, internal medicine and cardiology departments. They are the reason I have a diagnosis and a health plan for treatment and improving everyday. The cafeteria kept my family fed and everyone between the nurses, radiology, patient transport, aides and therapy kept me focused and got me out of there.
I had numerous tests and appointments to be scheduled at Banner University, Medical Center. The coordinator arranged that I could get them all done in one day with back to back appointments. I was given verbal and written instructions ahead of time to prepare me for every aspect of the day. Each department was careful to keep me right on schedule with friendly and knowledgeable service. Everyone was concerned for my comfort and kept me well informed. Once again, I am highly impressed with Banner services!
If I could give this facility zero stars, I would. I came to this Emergency Room seeking care for sudden, unexplained vision loss—a medical issue that requires immediate assessment. Despite presenting with clear symptoms of a potential neurological event, including a severe headache and vision loss, my condition was treated as non-urgent.
While waiting, my condition actively worsened—I developed new, focal neurological symptoms (tingling on the same side) while sitting in the waiting area. I brought these updates to the triage staff, yet I remained deprioritized and ignored for hours.
The triage process at this facility is deeply flawed and dangerously negligent regarding time-sensitive neurological emergencies. They seem entirely unable to distinguish between a routine complaint and an evolving medical crisis. Patients are left to sit for hours, with their conditions progressing, while the staff displays zero sense of urgency for genuine medical emergencies. If you are having symptoms of a stroke or any other neurological deficit, seek care at a different facility that actually prioritizes patient safety and triage accuracy. This place is not equipped to handle emergencies.

My family wants to express many thanks to Banner University for their amazing and life-saving care of our 92-year old mother in November 2025. After suffering a stroke and being transferred there by helicopter, she was taken for emergency surgery. This surgery left her with very little apparent stroke damage. The surgeons and neurologists were professional and straightforward with our family, and then very encouraging about her outcome. The nurses on both the 8th and 15th floors took amazing care of her during her 7-day stay. They were caring, gentle, always concerned about her comfort, efficient, on top of every machine alert. They kept our family updated at all times, and were even solicitous of our comfort while we stayed at her bedside. Thanks to everyone's wonderful care, Mom has made an amazing recovery and is back doing the things she loves.
I was transferred from banner Boswell because they didn't have the technology or doctors that my care required. I received a room right away , very nice,. Overall experience was outstanding. Nurses: Lisa, Payton, Bridget, Lamar, Dr Lee, best kind curitious, polite, caring, on the ball. Made me feel comfortable in a bad situation. Spoke with me on a personal level, soothing me anxiety, nerveness, in time of need. Even the X-ray CT scan technicians were awesome . Young big gentlemen in transportation to the CT scan was so kind, he had broken his foot once at work, told me he just wanted to come back to work. Super cool 😎. A slight mix-up with medicine at first, but nurse Lisa took time to sort and figure things out. She's truly blessed. Payton Bridget Lamar like my family making me feel at ease. I hope they get this review and get complemented for going above and beyond. Thank you all so kindly. Raises are in order. Hints: take the clock down right in front of the bed. Softer or thicker mattress for patients with bad back and neck. Toilet seat is to high. Keep up the good work.
