I have had several unpleasant experiences in this office. Very rude front desk reps. Do not even say Hello, or respond to one. Very disrespectful, it’s like you’re talking to a wall. They don’t say a word to you, I feel like this is discrimination because to every non-Hispanic, they were both very nice to. Awful. You shouldn’t work in healthcare if you’re not apt to dealing with people of a different race/ethnicity. Also, in any clinic you go to, you will receive a call or a text message for your appointments especially if the patient is elderly. And we received nothing, even showed up an hour early in case. And had to wait,
Which okay that’s fine, but at least let us know we will be waiting until the appointment, not tell us you will message someone and then stay quiet and ignore us. I saw this happen to another patient as well who was coincidentally also Hispanic. They don’t even have soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands or hand sanitizer. And this is an oncology clinic, which means the patients here are immunocompromised.
After having consulted with Moffitt, I returned to Naples, to my referred doctor from
My surgeon. From my initial visit with Dr. Lamar, it was so clear to me (and my best friend) that there would be no one else I would want treating me. Not only did she know my record (1.5 of testing and procedures) back and forth, AND showed exceptional personal care.
I'm a professional, of many years, as well. I had been advised to interview three drs. But from the moment Dr. Lamar left, I felt I was in extraordinary hands and care.
Fast forward, my treatment proceeded likewise, and although I hade stage 4 of an aggressive, recurrent cancer, I was in no recurrence before the final two treatments of six. I truly attribute this to the phenomenal staff, and my extraordinary Dr. Lamar. From her personal nurse, Pamela, her P.A. Valerie, and Stacey and Alisha my chemotherapy nurses, I truly, truly felt like I was family.
I could not recommend her care, and staff more highly.
My visit with Dr. Lamar took place in a very constructive and professional atmosphere. The consultation was thorough and unhurried; we spent significant time discussing the possible treatment protocol, including its potential benefits and risks.
Dr. Lamar demonstrated a high level of professionalism, openness to dialogue, and a genuine interest in understanding my situation in depth. She listened carefully to all of my questions and concerns and provided clear, well-reasoned explanations for every aspect of the treatment we discussed.
What was especially important to me was the respectful, collaborative approach. My thoughts and observations were taken into consideration, and the discussion was calm, thoughtful, and balanced. Throughout the consultation, I felt supported and confident that the doctor was committed to helping find the best possible course of action.
As a result of our discussion, we were able to reach a mutually agreed and clear plan for the next steps in my treatment. I am grateful to Dr. Lamar for her professionalism, attentiveness, and compassionate attitude.
I am a fairly new patient who transferred from another oncology office. So far I am less than impressed. My first visit was OK they did bloodwork scheduled a PET scan. I have that PET scan on October 1, 2025 and to this day I have yet to have anyone call me to go over the results or ask me to come in for another visit to go over the results.
In the meantime, I have another appointment scheduled February for bloodwork and then a follow up appointment. I was unable to keep the follow up appointment and I attempted to call to change that appointment. I started calling on and off all day long on a Wednesday and I finally got someone to answer the phone the following Tuesday. I am unbelievably taken back by that. I don’t know how it is that a doctors office is dealing with people with a terminal illness does not have a voicemail system for someone to leave a message. After attempting to relentlessly call to get it changed, I have a call from someone confirming another appointment at a different doctors office and I expressed my frustration with Florida oncology. The person I was speaking with said oh I have heard that issue but I have a friend that works there. Let me email her and have her contact you.
One would think that that would have worked, but even after that, I did not get a call back.
I show up today to my appointment and the lady at the reception desk greeting patients was about as friendly as an alligator. Fortunately, the girl who drew the blood was Very kind And the girl who did the checkout was very pleasant and very happy. She had no Idea Why there was no voicemail system but did not seem surprised when I told her it took me four days to get someone on the telephone. Just as Mr. John Berg said you really need to do better.
Your front desk receptionist needs better training. She doesn't look up when you arrive and ignores you for a bit then says I will be with you soon. A patient should be acknowledged NOT a computer screen. She is also unfriendly.
Dr Lamar and the nurses are wonderful.
Dr Santiago is an excellent doctor. I got referred to him a few years ago and thought he was good so when i was referred again i was happy to have him again. His assistant who takes blood are always so lovely never rude or miserable always friendly. Im very comfortable with his team reaching out asking any questions and they always answer.
Dr. Lamar is a great & an amazing oncologist.
She's a knowledgeable, gentle, compassionate & caring oncologist. Patient, personable & takes time explaining her treatment plan with her patient. I'm so blessed to have her as my oncologist. She's a gem !
This is a great group of professionals who genuinely care for their patients. Everyone from the people that sign you in to every nurse, care manager, and technician, exhibit those qualities. As for Dr. Ferdy Santiago, he is the best! I am confident in their care for me. I consider it being blessed!
