Today I was nervous for my coil insertion. The procedure was quick and the nurses made it as comforting and reassuring as possible for me. They checked me out all well. As I walked out to my car, I didn’t feel right. I began to feel dizzy so I went back in and the ladies assisted me so kindly. Allowed me a room to lay down on a bed, offered me water and salty crackers and chocolate to make me feel well again. They even took my blood pressure 3 times (it was very low) and didn’t allow me to leave until I was 100%. Offered me hot water bottles and tea too! Honestly they were my guardian angels today and I am so grateful to Julia and Susan for their generosity and for being so sweet to me! Thank you!!
I had my first appointment in Femplus a few weeks back and I had an amazing experience from my first phone call until I walked out the door. My appointment was booked with Kim the receptionist who was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and funny 😁. I booked in with Dr Lisa (who was recommended) and Kim also placed me on the cancellation list (nearly 5-6 weeks booked out in advance) and she told me that she cannot guarantee a cancelled appointment, that was fine with me. A few weeks went by and I got a phone call from the lovely Julia who offered me an earlier appointment but this would not be with Dr Lisa but Dr Julianne instead, I took Julia up on her offer and went to my appointment. I arrived and met with the Julia and Kim at reception, they were as lovely in the flesh as they were on the phone, I had my consultation with Dr Julianne on time I may add too!! She made me feel totally at ease, and assured me that I was normal and not going crazy 😉 she listened to me, examined me thoroughly and explained everything in normal terms to me. I felt like a weight was lifted off my back!! So thank you Dr Julianne.
I’ve read a lot of the reviews here good and bad and really ladies…this is a private medical practice and also a business, the deposit taken at booking is an excellent way of not wanting to lose your appt, you don’t turn up you lose your deposit. Their time keeping policy is an excellent idea and in no way did I feel rushed at any stage. The prices are the same or cheaper as seeing a consultant in any other private practice out in Lucan and sandyford and you don’t need a referral from your GP for Femplus. Thanks so much to all the wonderful ladies at Femplus, I will be back for my review in a couple of months and I’m genuinely looking forward to it and also very grateful to have such a wonderful clinic in my community and remember ladies …they’re booked out 5-6 weeks in advance, so get in soon.
I was a little sceptical at first after reading so many negative reviews, but a friend recommended FemPlus to me, and so far I can honestly say I am very happy with my experience.
I have already had a fertility scan, gonorrhoea and chlamydia tests, progesterone and AMH blood tests, and my partner has also done a sperm analysis. My next step is to do my day 2–5 blood tests, and then we will see what the results show.
The staff have been very kind, polite, and helpful throughout. They always respond nicely, answer any questions, and are very prompt. The midwife who has been looking after me has been especially lovely and supportive.
I think sometimes people expect fertility problems to be solved with just one or two tests, but when it comes to infertility, it is important to be patient and follow all the correct steps. This process takes time, proper investigation, and a lot of patience. It is also not cheap, but unfortunately nothing is cheap nowadays, and this kind of journey cannot be solved overnight.
From my experience so far, I would sincerely recommend FemPlus Clinic!
Very disrespectful setup for someone to provide semen sample. A utility room with a paper bind held up with a dozen bits of masking tape
After care even worse, told over the phone "results are fine" was told I needed to pay for phone consultation if I had questions on the results
This is the second appointment I have had here. I was thoroughly looked after by both the people that I saw. Lorraine was amazing and removed my coil in about 5 seconds. Painless. Something I have had trouble sleeping over all week before my appointment!
I had my copper coil inserted at FemPlus Clinic and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Rosie and Suzanne were so kind, reassuring, and professional, making me feel completely comfortable throughout. Thank you both for the excellent care!
Absolutely fantastic staff and clinic . I dont understand where all the bad reviews come from. I haven't had one bad experience in there . The girls at the reception are lovely and Lorraine is very professional , gentle and compassionate. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my reproductive health. Thank you again for today !!
I had a wonderful experience at Femplus Clinic recently. Dr. Rita was incredibly patient, attentive, and took the time to answer all of my questions with great care and clarity. I truly felt listened to and supported throughout the consultation. Midwife Lorraine was also absolutely lovely — warm, professional, and made me feel very comfortable from the moment I arrived. The entire team at the clinic was kind and welcoming.
I highly recommend Femplus to anyone looking for excellent and compassionate care! :)
