Very disappointing experience with Truly Dental and a lack of transparency around pricing.
I booked an appointment that was advertised as a “free consultation”, with the understanding that the booking fee would be refunded if you attended.
However, after less than a minute with the dentist, I was told I needed a CBCT scan. It was not clearly explained beforehand that the scan would cost €150 if I did not proceed with treatment, or €50 if I did. I only became aware of this pricing structure afterwards, which felt misleading given that the appointment had been advertised as a free consultation.
Clear explanation of costs before any procedure is essential, especially in healthcare. Under the Consumer Protection Act 2007, businesses are required to make charges clear to consumers before a service is provided. Unfortunately that transparency was lacking in this case.
When I later asked for a copy of the scan, I was told I would need to pay €100 to receive it. As this scan forms part of my personal medical data, patients have the right to access their health records under the General Data Protection Regulation.
Overall the experience felt poorly explained and misleading from a pricing perspective. Patients should be clearly informed of costs and conditions before any scans or procedures are carried out.
I would be happy to update this review if the clinic can clarify the charges and provide a copy of the scan taken during my appointment.
I have been attending 3Dental for about 7 years. I was do scared of dentist before I came here. I broke my front tooth one day and hit an emergency appointment with them, my life changed that day. I had a replacement crown fitted and went on to have other crowns, whitening treatment, implants and periodontal work. I attend every 3 months for as I have gum problems and need regular deep cleaning. I have never looked back, a payment plan was set up for me and it was all very easy. The front line reception staff are great and always keep me informed if my appointments by sending emails. Recently I had some composite bonding done which I am thrilled with. I gave recommended :dental to many of my friends and family who there. I was treated my Laura today, a lovely hygienist who totally put me at my ease. I am so lucky to have found this lovely dental practise 😊
Really good experience here in 3 Dental. I got front implant and I am delighted with the result. The price for all dentist in ireland is very expensive compared to abroad however what I found here is the work you want done gets done and no questions asked if you do not proceed with something you dont want to. I have had this in past dentists were I wanted the implant done and they gave me a check up and said you need 3 fillings and we will do the implant after. I only wanted the implant done but felt like this was the only option to get it done. I went to 3 Dental given my scan was told what needed to be done but it is completely up to you if you only want the implant done. The place feels right the staff are very very kind and not once did I feel a sense of judgment. Highly recommend this place.

I have been going to 3 Dental at the redcow for years now and I have only ever had extremely positive experiences. I got my braces a few years ago by Sandra who did an amazing job at straightening my teeth and they're still perfectly aligned to this day. Then last week I chipped my front tooth by mistake and they managed to fit me in for an appointment on the same day that I rang and Zhana did a fantastic job at filling in and fixing my chipped tooth. She did such an incredible job that it was completely pain free and she blended in the filling so well that you can't even tell anything ever happened to the tooth! Kristen at the front desk was also extremely friendly and helpful when I was finishing up with paying for my appointment today after getting my teeth cleaned, her up beat and inviting energy left me feeling happy and well looked after. They are all highly professional and reliable staff who go above and beyond. I highly recommend 3 dental, not just for their brilliant services but also for their amazing staff!
I had dental implants done with Dr. Peter a couple of years ago, and it was a brilliant experience. He really put me at ease about the whole procedure, and I had no pain at all. Dr. Peter is a true professional.
More recently, I had a few fillings done by Dr. Zhana, and I’m more than happy with the work. She is a brilliant dentist and did a fantastic job, again completely pain-free.

Lots of red flags here. I came here for a professional opinion regarding treatment received elsewhere. The doctor was a young guy. He seemed very reluctant to explore my concerns and was more adamant on the 8pm clock out. Which I understand. But I came in with a very serious matter which didn’t seem to get through to him. His actions made me feel as though I was a liability to them and they didn’t want to look after me.
To sum up. The appointment was rushed. In the end they wanted me to buy a very expensive gum shield and said they would follow up about actually discussing a treatment plan... They never followed up… and just as so, took my €50 “deposit”. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.
Long story short, make sure you’re paying the right people to operate on your head. PLEASE use your senses and make the right judgment. I can’t emphasise enough about how serious dental surgery actually is. If it’s not done by the right person it will reshape the rest of your life. And not for better as you initially intended.
Cannot fault 3 Dental at all. For someone who once had a fear of dentist coming here as now made that fear bearable. They have turned my smile into a smile to be proud of. The service and professionalism is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Dr Lois is such a lovely dentist. Kind, caring, gentle and so professional. Put me at such ease especially given that I hadn't fillings in years. Did a fabulous mock up also of my composite bonding. Have a fabulous holiday in Brazil!
