From start to finish very professional and courteous, from booking in taken to my room met anaesthetist then my surgeon Dr Javed explained everything. Ward staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was to much. All staff very friendly my experience was Amazing my room was very spacious and clean

Gary Ross and his team were exceptional from start to finish. From my first consultation, he made me feel completely at ease calm, informed and reassured. He took the time to explain everything clearly and answered every question without ever making me feel rushed. On the day of surgery and throughout recovery, I felt genuinely cared for and in very safe hands. His manner is professional, kind and quietly confident, which makes such a difference when you’re feeling vulnerable. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Just returned home this morning post spinal surgery and I had the most amazing experience I had to leave a review, not only to call out some of the staff, but to maybe reassure anyone about to have any procedures here. I had recently had an MRI and they were able to fit me in immediately due to my not at all life threatening but certainly life affecting back issue so the fact that I went from scans to surgery so quickly was fantastic. Thanks no doubt to Mr Irfan Siddique. (The honorific ‘Mr’ seems inadequate for specialists considering their skills but hey ho). I can’t sing his and his team’s praises highly enough. Surgery has gone very smoothly and I hope to make a full recovery with my already scheduled follow up physio with Jess who helped me run through the post-op physio exercises this morning - she was also super helpful and professional and assisted in making sure I had the mobility required to be discharged. My anaesthesiologist dr Mohamed Mahmoud, I believe, was great. That’s the part I think most people worry about and he put me at ease with the anaesthesia. He let me know I might go under soon but him and another of the surgical care team who led me up and also really put me at ease with some shared dislike of a certain football team and chat about Egypt made me totally relaxed and at ease with the whole experience. I really am struggling to remember all names (as there were surgical grade depressants involved) I’m remembering his name as Ibrahim and I absolutely apologise if I got that wrong because you sir are keeping the pre-operative patients calm. Great work. Post-operation I was attended to by Karen, I believe, all I can remember is me going “hey siri, call [wife’s name] and straight away she called my wife to let her know I was fine. I can only imagine what gibberish from me you had to put up with so thank you, from what I can remember you were amazing. On the Stafford ward I’m afraid I can only remember the names of Joe, senior healthcare and Hayley who were very helpful and kind during my stay and recovery. True professionals. Joe even helped me get outside with my case this morning. I’m leaving quite a few out including some of the others who attended to me overnight making sure all was well including healthcare staff and the fantastic gentleman making sure that I had pre-ordered dinner and breakfast which were all amazing options but due to my nerves I thought to keep it simple. He was very attentive as they all were. Amazing experience from start to finish and I will be back again soon for my physio follow ups.

Fantastic experience today with my 7 year old daughter. In the children’s ward for operation. The staff were so accommodating during the heatwave kept us topped up with lollies and ice cream and even brought me a portable air conditioning unit into the room. Daughter very happy going home with her gift of a teddy. Very clean - overall experience amazing and would highly recommend.

Attended the hospital yesterday for a colonoscopy , I was put on a ward enclosed by a glass cubicles, all very nice apart from the chair I had sit on for over 5 hours waiting for my procedure. It would be so much better if this reclined . I couldn’t relax and the plastic fold down chair for my Mum was not comfortable at all. I really would have expected better from a private hospital. However I cannot thank the 2 nurses who attended to me they were fantastic , Jackie & Anita are a credit to their profession.

I have never had to go through something like I just have before and any thoughts I may have been having on the day of my surgery, irrational or otherwise were hepled by the sheer professionalism and friendliness of the staff that were there for me. Everyone was absolutely tremendous and I literally could not have asked for anything better. From start to finish of this whole process I am grateful that I was helped by amd looked after by a great team. I have nothing but praise for the Alexandra Hospital and all of its staff.

The was I was treated was fantastic. The Professor was so wonderful in listening and explaining and reassuring me when I was worried. The results are superb. The anesthatist Donna was also really fantastic and explained everything and reassured me. The nurses who looked after me through the night after my op were Esther and Barbara and they were angels who were so caring and lovely. The following day my nurse was Saffy who was just as fabulous. Your nursing staff on Richmond ward are world class. I can’t thank you enough.

Exceptional care from start to finish following hip replacement surgery I recently spent two nights at The Alexandra Hospital for a hip replacement, and the standard of care I experienced was consistently high throughout. From admission through to discharge, every interaction felt professional, calm, and reassuring. What stood out most was how well the team worked together and how naturally they put me at ease at each stage of the process, particularly in theatre and X-ray where anxiety could easily take over. Ward 20 was excellent. The nursing team maintained a strong balance between clinical professionalism and genuine care. I interacted with around 14 members of staff during my stay, and without exception, they were attentive, approachable, and highly competent. Specific thanks to: • Alice, Matthew, Givemore and Charlotte for their nursing care across day and night shifts • Melody, Linda, Sylvia and Komi for their continued support and attention • Emma, Claire and Henry in physio, who handled recovery guidance with clarity and encouragement • Andy the porter, who brought a calm and friendly presence during transfers • Joe in catering, who ensured everything ran smoothly on that front. A particular note of appreciation to: • Mr Amit Kumar, whose surgical care and communication gave real confidence in the procedure • Mr Patil, whose work as anaesthetist helped make the experience far more manageable than expected and Marco?, his assistant. It is easy to focus on the procedure itself, but what stays with you is the collective effort of the people involved. The team created an environment where I felt safe, informed, and well looked after throughout. Apologies if I have missed anyone. The full team deserves recognition for the standard they deliver. Thanks so much - it’s been a great experience.
