I have only been with First Care Practice for a few months after having to leave my old doctors due to moving out of the area. At the time, I was really worried because I’d heard so many negative stories about doctors’ practices nearby, especially as I have chronic illnesses and rely on regular appointments and monthly medication. I honestly felt nervous about having to take a gamble and join somewhere new, but I can truly say choosing this practice was the best decision.
From the very beginning, First Care Practice completely put my mind at ease. Every single member of staff has been welcoming, kind, understanding, and supportive. The doctors genuinely listen and take the time to care, the receptionists are always polite and helpful, and the overall atmosphere of the practice is reassuring and friendly.
I especially want to mention the practice management because you can truly tell this is far more than “just a job” to her. She genuinely cares about patients and wants people to feel supported, listened to, and looked after properly. That level of compassion is rare to find nowadays, and it honestly makes such a difference. You can see how much effort, care, and dedication goes into making the practice run smoothly and ensuring patients are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
As someone who regularly needs medical support due to chronic illness, feeling comfortable and cared for by a GP surgery means everything, and this practice has honestly exceeded all my expectations. I finally feel like I’m being properly looked after instead of feeling like “just another patient.”

This is the best practice that I have ever been to. Amazing doctors and very good receptionists. They are Efficient, organised and really care about their patients. The manager miriam Mockbell is very good and is an amazing manager who makes sure everything is running smoothly. Very organised and kind. Overall, above a 10/10. I haven’t seen a GP practice in the whole of Uk run so well like this.
