I had a hygiene cleaning done and was really happy with the results. The hygienist was gentle and thorough, and my gums didn't feel sore or sensitive afterwards, even though my teeth were cleaned very thoroughly.
I also had a check-up and was given helpful advice on how to improve both the appearance and overall health of my teeth. The dentist was professional, friendly, and took the time to explain everything clearly.
I had to bring my 2-year-old son with me, and the team were fantastic with him. They kept an eye on him throughout my appointment, which made the experience much less stressful. The dental nurse assisting the dentist was also very polite, attentive, and welcoming.
Overall, I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend Cobbins Brook Smile Clinic to anyone looking for professional, friendly, and caring dental treatment. Thank you to the whole team at Cobbins Brook Smile Clinic for such excellent care.
I recently had a tooth extraction at my dentist, and I wanted to share how positive the experience was. I was quite anxious going into the appointment, but the dentist was incredibly patient, calm, and reassuring throughout.
He took the time to explain each step of the procedure, which really helped put me at ease. His gentle approach and understanding nature made a big difference, and I felt supported the whole time. Despite my nerves, he did everything he could to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
I’m very grateful for the care and professionalism shown, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this dentist to anyone who feels nervous about treatment.

Today I had the pleasure of receiving professional dental treatment from Dr. Jiwa and his helpful and compatible team-mate and assistant, Kayssi. The entire procedure went smoothly and was painless with quiet soothing music in the background. Dr. Jiwa reassured me throughout and provided professional advice on the way forward. I attended an appointment with a male dentist and experienced significant discomfort during the examination. The dentist repeatedly poked and probed my gums in a way that I found painful.
During the procedure, I asked several times for the dentist to stop or proceed more gently, but my requests were not respected. When I expressed that I was in pain, my concerns did not appear to be taken seriously. Detist twisted my satirical , please stop dentist or else etc.
I also asked whether any numbing gel or support could be provided due to sensitivity, but this was declined. Claiming they where the NHS.
At the beginning of the appointment, I had clearly stated that I wanted a visual assessment — specifically to check for any visible gaps in the teeth that might require fillings to help with recession. I did not consent to a full gum examination involving probing measurements.
Despite this, the dentist continued with the gum probing procedure. I felt that my wishes were ignored and that the examination went far far beyond what I had agreed to.
Due to the discomfort and lack of responsiveness to my concerns, I chose to stop the appointment and informed the reception staff that I was unhappy and would be leaving the pratice and writing complaint.
I am submitting this complaint to request a review of the conduct during my appointment, particularly regarding consent, pain management, communication, the use of invasive measurements without my agreement, and the failure to take into account the anxiety I had clearly stated prior to the session.
Avoid the male dentist, other female staff seemed pleasant and more understanding.
Very friendly, calm dentist. Took time to explain procedure before starting and kept checking i was ok during the appointment.
Made me feel at ease. I have booked my next appointment already!
As soon as I entered the clinic, everyone was very welcoming. I was seen to very quickly, and coming in with a lot of pain, Dr Sidhu fixed me right up!! She was very professional, clearly knew what she was doing and I felt very comfortable and ease with her. Recommend!
