A great experience. I came for an emergency appointment when I had an abscess when my usual dentist was on holiday. Light and well air conditioned in the heat. The X-ray and problem was clearly explained and I felt in very safe hands. I’d like to come to your practice in future if you can squeeze me in your books!

Called to ask for an emergency appointment, couldnt do same day, but offered next day 12pm. Attended, spoke through options, fitted a temporary measure to help avoid infection. And discussed options for implants, and i will be signing up to your services. Myself and my partner. Thank you so much.

I had such a great experience at this dentist. From the moment you walk in, the reception team are so friendly and welcoming, they really put you at ease straight away. Catherine and Maisie are both fantastic, they’re professional, gentle, and take the time to explain everything clearly which really helps if you’re a bit nervous. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone.

Today was my first appointment with Scott after being with my old dental practice for over 30 years. My first impression was very positive, the receptionists are all very friendly & knowledgable which put me at my ease. Scott was very welcoming and friendly and again made me feel at ease. Scott gave me sound advice and drew up a treatment plan for the coming months, he explained every step and what would be needed to get my teeth in tip top condition. My subsequent appointments are now all booked and I am actually looking forward to them, something I have never said about going to the dentist 😆

I have been registered with this practice for several months and cannot fault the service they provide. From the moment you walk in through the front door, you are looked after and everyone is friendly, helpful and kind. The treatment I have had so far has been an initial appointment with Sean, 2 visits to see Kirstie for dental hygiene appointments and today, an appointment with Nick for three extractions. All of them have been brilliant and the nurses they have with them have been amazing at reassuring me and making me feel at ease. Having never had an extraction before I was particularly nervous this morning but Nick and Georgia explained everything to me and made it as painless as possible. Thank you both very much! I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anybody looking for a dentist. Thanks so much to an amazing team!

I’ve always struggled with going to the dentist due to difficult experiences in the past, which left me feeling anxious and fearful. But coming here has completely changed that for me. From the moment I walk in, I feel at ease. There’s a genuine warmth and kindness that makes it feel less like a clinic and more like being part of a family. Every member of the team shows real care, patience, and understanding—they take the time to make sure I’m comfortable and reassured every step of the way. It’s hard to put into words just how much this has meant to me. What was once something I dreaded has become an experience I no longer fear, and that’s entirely thanks to them. I’m incredibly grateful for the compassion and professionalism they show every day.

After some difficult experiences with other dentists and hygienists in the past, I was quite nervous about seeking treatment again. However, Pontefract Dental Care has completely changed my perspective. From the very beginning, the team took the time to genuinely listen to my concerns and previous experiences, and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my nervousness. Today, I had a periodontal clean, and I can honestly say it was straightforward and painless. The team made me feel at ease throughout the entire appointment, which made a huge difference to my overall experience. I’m due to return in two weeks’ time, and for the first time in a long while, I have no concerns or apprehension about going back. Thank you to the whole team—and a special thank you to Claire—for your professionalism, understanding, and care.
