This place is a scam. I had one of the worst experiences ever.
On my first visit, I paid for a consultation, and only after paying was I told there was no provider available and that someone would call me later. When the provider called, she didn’t know anything about me and started asking how I felt after starting the medication even though I hadn’t started anything yet! I explained that this was my first consultation. She then asked which medication and dosage I wanted, something I expected her to determine, not me. She prescribed medication without reviewing my lab results (which I had just completed) or meeting me in person.
After starting the medication, I developed severe side effects including tachycardia and arrhythmia. I called the clinic to report this, and another provider contacted me, saying the first provider was “not a good one” and had been fired. She told me I could come in for a free follow-up appointment.
However, when I later scheduled and called to confirm, they told me I had to pay again. When I explained what I had been told, the staff member on the phone was rude and basically implied that I was lying. The clinic manager was more polite and said the provider would call me again to arrange a free visit.
This place is completely disorganized and only cares about taking your money. I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic. Zero stars!
This place is a Pill Mill, plain and simple. They issued me medication before even receiving the results of my bloodwork, meaning there were no assurances it was safe for me to take it. Then, after taking 1 dose of ZepBound I began having horrible mental health side effects. It went from happy/healthy/thriving pre-medication just wanting to lose some of my baby-weight to a depressed sobbing mess with 3 days of the first dose. It continued on for 2 weeks until it got to the point where I was horribly depressed, filled with anxiety, on the verge of a panic attack 24/7. Someone suggested that maybe my blood sugar was low, so each time I was having one of these episodes I’d test it and it was always between 80-90 (thanks to an old glucose monitor I had when I was pregnant). So the issue wasn’t hypoglycemia.
I called my Nurse Practitioner to ask her what I should do about the side effects, as they were just so intense and only started after I started the medication. She told me “That’s so weird, I’ve never heard of that happened before. There’s nothing I can do to help you. See your regular Dr.” and that was it she just left me in a lurch. I thought “If she’s never heard of this, maybe there’s something unrelated going on?” So I took the 3rd dose. BAD IDEA! After that next dose I was so depressed I would just have tears rolling down my cheeks for no reason. I was experiencing such agonizing anxiety that I couldn’t leave my house. I’d have panic attacks all night, wake up in cold sweats and a thumping heart (checking my blood sugar and it was always in the 80s).
After this, I did follow up with my Dr. and he advised me to quit taking the medication “Immediately!”, as it has a Black Box warning for causing suicidal thoughts and depression. Sure enough, I looked it up and it does! People have committed suicide on this medication, and medications like it. This is apparently well known for medical providers who dispense these medications. So how could Texas Weightloss and my NP be so negligent to 1.) not warn me that severe depression and anxiety was a known side effect 2.) Later, deny any knowledge of this side effect 3.) Offer me no help or follow up in dealing with my side effects.
After I stopped the medication, I called the clinic to speak with them about what I had learned and was told my NP would return my call. She never did. My guess is because she simply doesn’t care. She doesn’t care if one of her patients was suffering from the treatment she prescribed. She didn’t care that I was facing a very life threatening side effects. She didn’t care to even follow up to ensure my well being. This place is a disgrace to the medical profession and should have their licenses rescinded!
I am 4 weeks out from my 3rd and final dose of ZepBound and I am happy to report I am (almost) totally back to normal. No more crying fits, depression, anxiety. I have been losing weight naturally by following a 1,300 calorie diet with 100 grams of protein a day. I’m losing the same as I was on ZepBound!
I will never try this type of medication again and strongly advise others to really look into the side effects before taking this medication. Good luck to everyone, and big hugs!
Was on there semiglutide compound for 3 months. Everything was fine. I was losing weight. I had physical side effects: acid reflux worse than I've ever had and horrible constipation. I was able to deal with those in order to lose weight. When they raised my dose to 1mg I got severely depressed. Long story short I was suicidally depressed for 2 months after stopping the semiglutide compound. It was horrible. My mother had to fly in twice to help me out. My husband missed work. No one warned me this was a side effect. No one. I started researching and it is in fact one. It's on the CDC website, it's on the packaging of some of the namebrand medication, you can find peer reviewed medical studies, and there are thousands of personal accounts of this online. BEWARE TAKING SEMIGLUTIDE WITHOUT KNOWING ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS.

The staff is amazing. They are so kind, understanding, and willing to help. I was nervous to start my weight loss journey but they were there to cheer me on. Whether looking to lose a little weight or more (like me), I highly recommend this clinic!
Aysha is amazing! I’ve always hated needles, but with her the process is quick and completely painless. She’s so attentive! during longer waits she checked on me often, which made me feel truly seen and cared for. Couldn’t ask for better care!
I've consistently experienced exceptional care from the entire nursing staff and the doctor. Their friendliness, willingness to answer all my questions, and unwavering support have been remarkable since I began my journey in August. It's a testament to the entire team that I cannot identify a single standout individual, as their collective dedication to patient well-being is evident. I am very pleased with my experience and highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested.
Really appreciate everyone in the clinic! I’ve had amazing results. My appointment are always thorough and they listen to any questions or concerns I have. Everyone is friendly and kind. Only knocking one start because someone’s the weight for appointments can be long.
