Have had a great experience with Rothman before, during and after getting ACDF surgery. Brendan Magerr, PA is kind, knowledgeable and communicates well. Brendan and Dr. Alexander Vaccaro both did an excellent job fully explaining my treatment options along with the pros and cons of surgery. Health issues forced me to postpone the surgery multiple times. Rather than showing any frustration, they were considerate and willing to work with me to get the surgery rescheduled. I have nothing but praise for the care I received at Rothman.
The staff at Rothman Center City are always friendly and professional, but the kiosk check-in system is absolutely ridiculous. Every visit starts with fighting a machine instead of simply checking in with a person. It's frustrating, impersonal, and feels unprofessional for a medical office.
It honestly feels like the company cares more about saving money than making the patient experience better. The employees deserve better because they're the ones dealing with everyone's frustration. Great staff, terrible kiosk system
Rothman is very professional, the team makes you so comfortable and guide you all the way in letting you what's going to happen from anesthesia team to Dr. Daniel I'm so blessed and grateful
Dear Dr. Pedowitz,
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the phenomenal job you did with my minimally invasive bunionectomy. From the very beginning, your confidence, skill, and kind bedside manner put me completely at ease. Especially since this was my first surgery.
The recovery has been Uni going so smoothly, and I am truly amazed by no pain and the remarkable progress I’m already experiencing. I know that is a direct reflection of your expertise and the meticulous work you put into your patients.
Thank you for treating me not just as another case, but as a person. Your patience in answering my questions, explaining each step, and ensuring I felt supported made all the difference. I felt cared for, heard, and safe every step of the way. Your entire team at Bryn Mawr surgery center were absolutely amazing.
I am deeply grateful for everything you’ve done and have already recommended you to others. You’ve truly made a positive impact on my life, and I appreciate you more than words can say.
With heartfelt thanks,
Michele Leuzzi
I frankly find this place to be predatory. I've been in for three injuries, one in 2023 and two (repeat injury) in 2025. The first injury was fine, no issues with my care whatsoever. I am very appreciative of the treatment I received that time.
My second and third injuries were a completely different story. First issue was with the office charging me for a copay twice, then mishandling the refund. I got a "receipt" but no deposit in my account. I called two weeks later only to be told they can only mail a check at this point, which I never received. Figures, but whatever.
My biggest gripes are with the predatory billing of the ankle treatment I received, and the treatment options recommended by the podiatrist. The actual treatment I received consisted of x-rays, a conversation with a podiatrist where he described what is going on, the treatment plan, and the (separate) purchase of a $350 walking boot. I had sustained my injury ahead of a road race, and the podiatrist had posited that I could wear the ankle boot for a few weeks, run the road race, and return to the boot. After speaking with several other doctors, I believe that had I listened to this advice I would be dealing with a much more severe injury. Without getting into specifics, the billing codes used for the treatment received are completely disproportionate to the value of the treatment received, to be honest. I will not be returning to this orthopedic office, and will be warning my people of my experience. Sorry to leave a bad review -- almost never do -- but my experience was quite sour.
good doctors, yet disorganized. they completely forgot my prescriptions, I had to reach out twice for both my PT and medication prescriptions, taking more than a week. Apologizing, they sent them right away though. they were very organized in the billing department however, I got my invoice right away :P
I was seen at your center city location yesterday 10/20. My appointment was for 10:30AM. I was not taken back to a patient room until after 12:00PM. I did not see my actual physician until 12:30PM. This was 2 hours past my appointment time. This has happened previously at another location with the same physician. The physician is Dr. Pedowitz and he is a great surgeon, but the lack of regard for patient’s time is unacceptable. On top of that, your Center City office does not have parking nor does it validate. Because my appointment took OVER 2 HOURS for a simple MRI reading, I had to pay the daily rate which is $40 extra dollars. This is unacceptable! Your front desk staff was very nice and apologetic. This does not give me back the 2 hours I lost sitting in the waiting room.
It’s always a pleasure at Rothman Orthopedics from the receptionist, to the nurses, radiologic techs, physician assistant and of course physicians. They make you feel that you are important and valuable. I really appreciate when they explain in a very thorough and understandable manner. Keep up the great work.
