Had to visit Kings County Hospital recently for a visit // appointment and was impressed by the staff. Dr. Leo Eisenstein and Nurse treated me with real care and patience during my checkup. The facility was busy but clean, and they kept me informed throughout. Grateful for the service they provide to Brooklyn. Thank you KCH team.

I had a very disappointing experience at Kings County Hospital. While some staff members were professional, I observed significant issues with communication and professionalism throughout my stay. I witnessed a staff member in the Emergency Room speaking negatively about a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and even threatening to fight her. It was concerning to see that level of hostility among hospital employees in a healthcare setting. I also found that the doctors did not adequately explain my medical condition, the reasons for certain tests, or the purpose of various treatments. In several instances, the information documented in my medical records did not match what was verbally communicated to me. Patients should be able to trust that the information in their charts accurately reflects their care and discussions with providers. Additionally, I was told that a particular doctor had requested a specific examination, but when I asked to speak with that doctor, I was unable to do so. This created confusion and made it difficult to obtain clear answers about my care. Based on my experience, I encourage anyone receiving treatment at this hospital to ask questions, request explanations regarding tests and procedures, and carefully review their medical records. Compare what is documented in your chart with what is being communicated to you so that you fully understand your treatment and care plan. My experience was extremely frustrating and left me with serious concerns about communication, transparency, and professionalism.

I had an emergency C-section at Kings County Hospital, and I received exceptional care throughout the entire experience. The doctors were highly attentive, professional, and took their responsibilities very seriously. They kept me informed, acted quickly when it mattered most, and made me feel safe and well cared for. The nursing staff and all hospital personnel were compassionate, supportive, and genuinely caring. Despite what was a stressful situation, everyone treated me with kindness and respect, which made a huge difference during my recovery. I am incredibly grateful to the entire team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County for the excellent care I received. Thank you for helping make a difficult experience a positive one.

I was scheduled for surgery. The doctors and nurses educated me well before and after. I can’t complain about the after care, they made sure i was comfortable and had everything i needed. Day and night nurses were exceptional! Room and bathroom were being cleaned regularly. I honestly did not want to leave 😂. Kudos to you all! Thank you for taking care of me!

The care from the night nurses was amazing. The day nurses??… not so much. Idk how many times I pressed the call button but no one ever came. The pediatric er room I was in was definitely not cleaned. Im glad I didnt have to lay my child on the bed in there. And the next morning I received breakfast & im glad I checked the yogurt because it was wayyy past expiration. Imagine if I gave that to my 4 month old. He would've been in there an extra night smh. I just want to give a shout out to Arianna though on the pediatric floor she was AMAZING. She made sure my son was well taken care of and checked in on us frequently.

I attended my appointment with my primary care doctor, after checking my vitals it was discovered that my blood pressure reading was very high, she continued to check and it remained still very high, so she told me that she has to send me down to the emergency room, she requested for a nurse to get the wheel chair to transport me there. I was attending to, all relevant tests were done, I was treated and the doctor didn't release me until they were satisfied that everything was back in its normal stage. I have never been into the emergency room before and I am very satisfied with the treatment that I received at Kungs County Hospital. I was also very hungry and I told one of the nurses ,who went and got me fresh sandwich .the team is a great team God bless them.

My 93-year-old mother-in-law was admitted to Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn on Sunday, March 22, 2026, and was later transferred to the 4th floor. My niece and I visited her on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and I must say I was truly astonished—in the best way possible—by the level of care provided by her team. All of the negative comments I had previously heard regarding Kings County Hospital were completely diminished after this experience. Her care team was exceptional. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the patient care provided was excellent. Each staff member we encountered was professional, courteous, attentive, and informative. It was evident that they treated her with dignity, compassion, and respect. I would like to sincerely commend Physician Assistant, Isaac Shalam, PCA, Donna Champagne , PCT, Rushene Bent, and Social Worker, Angel Charles for their outstanding work and dedication. Their efforts did not go unnoticed and made a meaningful difference in our experience during a very challenging time. Thank you for providing such high-quality care.

Their ENT department sucks. It begins and ends with receptionists that work there. There is a sign on their desk that is extremely unprofessional that reads “pretending I’m working” which is true they simply pretend to work. The reminder calls which would provide notifications of changes that impact the services per patient are NOT being done and or are SELECTIVELY being done and their shortcomings not be addressed, reported and resolved. It’s time to take accountability of being understaffed and or pretending to be understaffed. Please save your yourself time, money and dignity by choosing to go elsewhere.
