Sweet treats wanna be me
Overall, my experience at this hospital was mixed.
The internet service was poor, and the TVs didn't work well. The beds also need improvement because many of the bed frames have large gaps that make them uncomfortable.
The CNA staff were the highlight of my stay. They were attentive, compassionate, and made me feel like they genuinely cared about my comfort and well-being. The surgeon who treated me was also excellent.
The nurses and doctors were generally good, but the quality of care depended on the individual provider. You could tell which staff members were truly invested in patient care and which seemed less engaged.
The food was inconsistent. Weekday meals were usually much better than those served on weekends. The weekend dietary service seemed rushed, and the food quality was noticeably lower.
The hospital also appears to be dealing with staffing shortages, particularly among doctors and LPNs. From what I observed and overheard, this may be contributing to long emergency room wait times and overcrowding.
One concern I have is that many doctors, nurses, and other staff members kept their name badges covered or difficult to read. Patients often see multiple providers during their stay, so visible name badges would make it much easier to remember who is caring for them.
My biggest concern is the hospital's ability to handle the most critical trauma cases. Based on what I experienced and heard during my stay, I left with concerns about whether the hospital has the staffing and resources needed to consistently provide the highest level of care in those situations.
Overall, this hospital has some outstanding staff members—especially the CNAs—but improvements are needed in staffing, communication, facility amenities, and consistency of care.
Now, let's talk about the rehabilitation center. Overall, it seemed more organized, welcoming, and much less hectic than the hospital. The beds and TVs were about the same as those in the hospital. The food was slightly better, and there appeared to be more CNAs available on the rehabilitation unit than doctors or nurses, which made it easier to get assistance when needed. They hide their badges too smh.
Been here for 24 hours straight in the ER in Hypertension crisis!!! No urgency to help me. Also, it’s not clean at all. Leaking sinks, bathrooms dirty toilet paper on the floors. I finally get to a room. Bathroom sink leaking and toilet and shower dirty, pubic hairs just disgusting . The baseboards paint chipping and dirty. I would NOT RECOMMEND this Hospital!!
My experience with Dr. Girija Kumar and the entire team at Sinai was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for. Dr. Kumar combines deep medical knowledge with a calm, reassuring presence that immediately puts you at ease. She listens with patience, explains with clarity, and treats you with the kind of respect that makes you feel seen as a whole person, not just a patient.
The nursing staff, reception, and support team at Sinai were equally outstanding — kind, attentive, and consistently professional. Every interaction felt human and compassionate. I am truly grateful for the level of care I received and the dignity with which it was given. Sinai is fortunate to have a doctor like Dr. Kumar, and I feel fortunate to have been under her care.
I am highly disappointed with the appointment I had with Dr.Kumar. My son takes me to all my appointments, get prescriptions, and goes to follow up for the referral that is requested of me. Dr. Kumar would not even listen to my concerns or my son's concerns. She would not even fill out paperwork that is required for my son to take care of me. Now how am I able to get my prescriptions or referral visits?? She was rude!! Most of all she would not even listen to my concerns.
I have been a patient of Dr Wong for many years he is an exceptional doctor he has always taken care of my health 🙏 when he is gone on vacation I do not go seek help help with any other Doctor unless it's an emergency. He is extremely knowledgeable. I am very grateful and Blessed to have an amazing Doctor! Has the best staff also! Thank you Dr Sze Kin Wong!
If I could rate 0 stars I would. Went in with back pain and X-ray discovered I had a fractured spine. The doctor decided to treat with ibuprofen even though I’ve been on ibuprofen for 5 days with no improvement and am in severe pain, unable to walk, sit up, shower, or feed myself on my own. The pain had me crying and laying on the floor waiting for treatment that never came. Please if you have better insurance, find somewhere else to go.
“My simple philosophy goes like this. I use the energy and the confidence i gain from my interactions and I take that happiness and confidence home • She may not quite understand the method in how the car is paid for but she appreciates that i make sure it exists and runs for her.
And i have hard limits. They are centered around love. There is friend love and there is love that is only for her. For that she never has to fear. And doesnt. She has always known me to have the friends i have so she is used to it.
And she does not fear what most women do simply because my desires are not physically, dominance, prowess, or masculine driven. They are simply about fun and positivity. We could get deep on that note. Would love to hear what you think. Put simply, I like to prove that not all men are the same and yes, men that are sweet and strong do exist.”
This is a direct quote from Phillip Ryan Aguet, a nurse that works at Mt Sinai emergency department, explaining how his relationship works with his wife. He would send this to multiple nurses that worked the same hospital and never thought they would compare texts or even talk.
It good to know Phil found a home at Mt Sinai Hospital, and hopefully becoming a nurse has made him a better person .
One that does not prey on emotions to fill his needs while hurting the women who put him through his schooling. The woman who is the nicest person you will ever meet, and sticks by his side regardless of the pain she feels.
This nurse avoided me when I came for treatment, he probably recognized me and passed me off.
Regardless I was treated well by the nurse, staff and ED physician. I wish I could remember everyone but seeing him very much distracted me and put a bad feeling in my stomach.
Well both my son and his uncle were attended here and the staff along with the doctor show care and better your health. My son has been a patient to Holy Cross Hospital and they've been phenomenal to my 12yr old son. On this last visit we came across meeting Dr Domaas and he was awesome, compassionate and caring.
