I recently visited Hill Country Vision on Evers Road, and overall, it was a great experience. The location itself is really nice. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed there were plenty of trees, which was perfect for parking in the shade and keeping my car cool. There's ample parking available, including designated handicap spots, which makes access convenient for everyone.
The building and the surrounding property are also worth mentioning. The grounds are well-kept with lush, green grass, omething you don’t often see around San Antonio. It gives the place a welcoming and pleasant feel right from the start.
When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and checked in at the reception desk. While waiting for my appointment, I browsed through their selection of eyeglass frames. They had a great variety to choose from, which I appreciated. My appointment was scheduled for 9:15, but I wasn't called back until about 30 minutes later. They were running behind, but the staff apologized for the delay, and once I was seen, everything went smoothly.
Each staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the vision exam process. Although I didn’t get the chance to pick out glasses during that visit due to another commitment, I definitely plan to return. They had a large selection of frames, and I look forward to taking my time with that part on my next visit.
Hill Country Vision offers a comfortable and welcoming environment with great service. I recommend them if you're looking for a vision care provider in the San Antonio area.
I set an appointment a month in advance. I work all day 8am to 5pm and I also have a four kids at home that should tell you I don't have time. I choose them because they had appointments for my needs after work. Go to my appointments and find out it was canceled because I did not confirm on the email that I would be going to my appointment.They canceled it. Not including it is not stated anywhere in the email.If I do not confirm my appointment, it will get canceled. I don't look at my emails nor do I have time to I set the appointment a whole month in advance because I knew it was going to be my time for my eye checkup. The receptionist in the front made it seem like she owned the business.Did not bother a feeling some kind of remorse or understanding. Again?I told her does not specify that in your email and she said it doesn't matter.Ma'am, your appointment's been canceled. She then states that she would gladly set an appointment for me.For another date which again they didn't have anything available until two more weeks. And I told her, no, thank you.I am not using your service. I guess she thought I was joking.They called me a couple of days later and I will still not ever go here again. I do not recommend especially if you're in need. If I could have given it a no stars, that would be the best I could give them.
Customer service is good, staff is friendly and establishment is clean. But my prescription was inaccurate and the brand recommend didn't work for me. I went in a second time and explained my concerns and just felt rushed and my prescription was never changed just given a different brand of CL to try, which did work better but my prescription was never changed even after confirming that one eye required an adjustment. Appointments are rushed and Drs/ Interns should prioritize patient care instead of profit. I moved states, so ill just have to pay again to get the correct prescription. I wouldn't recommend this place
I am incredibly pleased with the care I received at this optometry office. The entire staff was phenomenal, making my recent visit a truly positive experience.
• The Doctor was both thorough and caring, taking the time to clearly explain the critical importance of maintaining my eye health. I left feeling informed and well-cared for.
• The Technician was wonderfully gentle and patient throughout the pre-exam process.
• The Optician was perfectly honest and supportive regarding my preferences and needs for my new glasses.
I highly recommend this office for their professional, compassionate, and supportive service!
We had such a great experience getting my 16-year-old son his glasses. He’s very picky, but Monica was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive the entire time. She took the time to really listen to what he wanted and helped him try different options until he found the perfect pair. She never rushed us and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Excellent customer service—thank you, Monica, for going above and beyond!
My Daughter has been to many places before Hill Country Vision Center. I asked how it went and her response. I felt like I had the VIP treatment and I was comfortable the entire time.
This was probably the best Drs appointment you could ask for. They check you temperature upon arrival, have tons of hand sanitizer and are constantly cleaning. The staff was great, they were all friendly, professional and helpful. I haven't had an eye exam in years, but I would recommend this location to anyone.
