As usual, the place was packed and I had to wait more than a half an hour beyond my appointment time. The staff was friendly and kind, also as usual. The actual time with the provider was about ten minutes because, after all the tests, it was a consultation visit and as brief as I expected. The best part was the consideration of the surgery scheduler, who noticed that I lived far away. She made sure that four of the five required appointments -- except for the surgery, which only takes place in Mesa -- were scheduled for my hometown, five minutes from home instead of a two-hour drive each way. I hope I thanked her enough!
Wonderful staff! Dr Funke....if you're blessed to have her as your Dr, you have many and I do mean many blessings! She very thorough and knowledgeable! Very friendly, down to earth and makes you feel comfortable with any decisions that you make. If you're looking for a great staff and Dr I totally recommend that you go see her!!! I'm 73 and was so blessed to get the opportunity to get into see her! Thank you Dr Funke for putting me at ease on my decision that I made on my eyes from the information that was given to me!
Very efficient. I trust and appreciate Dr. Anderson. The technician discovered that I should not be paying a co-pay as I have been doing in the past because this is a medical visit. That is a real bonus to my recent visit.
Not a good experience. People involved, with one exception, were fine. I experienced very long periods of sitting and waiting. When making the appointment I was told to expect approximately one hour, start to finish. I was there three hours. The individual that was supposed to be my scheduler was as rude and unprofessional as anyone with whom I've dealt. I will not return.
Wasnt thrilled with my experience here. Brought up concerns that the dr. looked at me like I was crazy for bringing them up. Mentioned changes to his assistant to jot down that I stated I was experiencing but didnt address what that meant for me. Felt rushed and just another patient they pushed through. Considering I had lasik done through them, I would've expected better. Only been 5 years and ive noticed a huge change in vision. Even if nothing can be done, have better bed side manners.
Apt scheduled for my husband at 3:15 pm for eye surgery. He waited 2 hours to see a dr. Nurse finally came in to tell him they forgot to get prior authorization for insurance. Have to now take off more work between the two of us to come back another day.
Jam packed waiting room. Disorganized timing. Like hearding cattle from one waiting room to another. Do NOT recommend
I give Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center a five star review. The front desk staff appears to be seriously overwhelmed, showing this issue with some curt interaction with some members of the public. However, once I got behind the curtain, the staff doing the eye assessments, measurements and tests are super friendly, professional, knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Anderson was very professional and kind too. I could not had have a better experience, once in the back office.
My experience at this place was, bar none, the best. The personnel were very proficient in
performing their jobs while being cordial with a smile. They were very coordinated and efficient and I did not feel unattended at any time. When the Doctor entered, he went straight to business and when all was said and done I felt fully informed of my diagnosis and one that I could completely understand. Eye look forward to my next checkup at this facility and their team.
P.S. I'm 67 years old and had cataract surgery in both eyes years ago, done by another group.
