My father recently visited the hospital through the Emergency Department and was admitted for further care. From the moment he arrived, he was treated with kindness, professionalism, and compassion.
The ER staff worked quickly and efficiently while keeping us informed and comfortable during a stressful time. Once admitted, the excellent care continued. Every nurse, physician, technician, and support staff member we encountered was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely concerned about his well being.
What stood out most was the teamwork and compassion shown by everyone involved in his care. They took the time to answer questions, explain treatments, and ensure we felt supported throughout his stay.
I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care he received and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical care. Thank you to the entire team for making a difficult experience much easier.
This hospital is the best. I had bypass surgery and doctors, nurses on ICU were so nice, respectful, understanding, gentle and many more. My experience in the hospital what I went through wow. First thanking God for putting everyone who worked on me. It was hard but the doctors and nurses the whole staff was amazing. I wouldn't had been able to make it if it weren't for all the gentle help everyone helped me with. Team work. Best hospital 👍🏼👍🏼plus they know what they are doing. If I could give more than five stars I would. God bless everyone who works there.
I’m very thankful for everyone at UHC they took great care of my daughter. The 6th floor nurses god bless them for caring for my daughter she was in a car accident and they were there every time she called, also rehab center nurse Pricilla thank you for caring and putting a smile on her after everything she went thru. Once again I’m extremely thankful and may god bless everyone who works there from doctors to nurses and social workers
Our baby was born at UHS, and overall we had a very positive experience with the birth. The only part that was disappointing was that our son was taken to the nursery immediately after delivery. There were no complications, and he had strong APGAR scores of 8 and 9. My husband could have held him and begun bonding right away, which is such an important moment for families. I truly hope the hospital considers prioritizing immediate bonding when both mom and baby are stable and healthy.
That said, their pain management program is outstanding. This was my fourth C-section, and University had the best pain control experience by far. They had all of my discharge medications ready in their in-house pharmacy, packaged together in one bag. Not having to stop at an outside pharmacy after major surgery was incredibly helpful and thoughtful.
Lastly, every nurse I had was incredible. They were encouraging, attentive, and genuinely kind. They responded quickly whenever I called and made me feel supported and cared for throughout my stay.
I’m grateful for the overall experience and hope continued improvements can be made to support early bonding for healthy newborns and families.
I'm not going to say names but the doctor that I always thought that he was there for me show his true colors and he went in and he knew that I don't have proof how he treated me. That's why he went into the room by himself. Said if I don't like it, I can look for elsewhere for another doctor and he can ban me from UT Health. And I don't know what they told him at the ER that I didn't deserve this because when he cancel me as a patient, he didn't realize that it was going to cancel all my doctor's appointments. Now I have to start over but I'm going to keep myself everything to myself and why make a report to patient relations. They don't even do anything. Doctors are still there. They still treat patients unfairly because his pain in my stomach it gets me is a severe pain that I cannot explain. It gets my whole back. Can't breathe. That's why my blood pressure when I go with his pain is always super high. You cannot make up blood pressure and they always ask me. What meds do you take for pain when you come to the ER and when I tell him that's what started everything it got back to my My primary doctor 45 medications. I'm allergic to it I came and see any doctors close to end of the year, especially my GI doctor. I won't see her until December 21st and then with his pain and I can't even go to the yard because if I do doctors they give drug addicts narcotics and then they came and give it to me and I'm not a drug addict I don't have no addiction. Those are nasty medications to be and addicted to it. I am so happy that I'm not addicted to any narcotic university Health used to be a really good hospital. They used to care about their patients. They're yes there for the money to charge the insurance, but oh well. I'm not going to. I'm just going to be right there there. I have to be really lucky to get the pain medicine cuz I'm not making it up because they don't see that it elevates my blood pressure super high because I'm in so much pain
My father was transported to the trauma unit after a fall, and I cannot tell you how wonderful all the nurses and doctors were to him. The trauma team really have it together.
We are now on floor 7 and the nurses and doctors are so kind and amazing also. Whatever his pain or discomfort they address it very quickly, and take care of him with such kindness, and professionalism. Would recommend here definitely!
If you’re trying to get information on your loved one I wish you well. You would do better to get Ken’s5 news to help you. My husband went to the emergency room on 3/27/26 they keep him overnight for evaluation. On 3/28/26 I called to find out if my husband was going to be released and that’s when the games begin! The operator would transfer me to the ER and the person at the ER would tell me my husband was not there. They would transfer me to the nurses station but I only got an automative line. This went on several times so finally I told the operator that the hospital needs to be reported and that a news channel should get involved. This is a serious situation because I didn’t know if my husband was dead or alive! Please don’t just take my word for it just read the other reviews. And what ever trumped up 5 star they have I would seriously consider if they are legitimate. If you know what’s best for you go to another hospital and leave this one alone! This hospital is pathetic!! Unless you’re wealthy!!!
Everyone is so helpful and kind at this hospital. The multiple teams are so good. We were on the 7th floor and the geriatrics team was amazing! All the teams were so caring and helpful toward my elderly dad. He was very well cared for!
