How can we help?

Answers to the questions we get most, and a way to ask anything else.

For patients

How do I find a clinic?

Start from the clinic list and narrow by country, region and specialty, or search by name. Every listing shows its rating, how many reviews are behind it, and how it compares with clinics in the same region and specialty — which is more useful than a rating on its own, because a 5.0 from three people is not a 4.6 from four hundred.

What does "verified" mean on a listing?

That we corroborated the listing details against the sources we hold, and checked the claim if the clinic made one. It is not a clinical endorsement: we do not inspect premises, audit outcomes or assess practitioners. To check a licence, check with the regulator in that country.

Why do I have to log in to see the phone number?

So that reviews come from people we can hold to one account, and so the contact details are not harvested in bulk. You verify a phone number by SMS once and are not asked again.

I did not get the SMS code.

Check the number, including the country code beside it, and try "Send it again". Codes can take a minute. If it still does not arrive, the number may be one the carrier blocks for automated messages — write to us with the number and we will look at what happened.

How do I write a review?

Open the clinic, go to the ClinicPicker reviews tab and use the form there. You need to be logged in, and you can review each clinic once.

Why is my review not showing?

Every review is read by a moderator before it is published, so there is a wait. You can see its status on your profile — awaiting review, published or not published.

Can I edit or delete my review?

Edit it from your profile at any time. An edited review goes back to moderation, so it leaves the clinic page until it has been read again. To delete one, ask us.

Does any of this cost anything?

No. Searching, comparing, reviewing and contacting a clinic are free for patients. We take no commission on treatment.

Something on a clinic page is wrong.

Tell us. Most listing details are aggregated from public sources and can go out of date — a clinic moves, changes its hours or closes. Corrections from patients are checked the same way as corrections from clinics.

Still stuck? Browse clinics, check yourprofile, or use the form to ask us.

For clinics

How do I get my clinic listed?

You probably already are. We build listings from publicly available information rather than waiting for clinics to register, so there is nothing to sign up for and no fee to be findable. Search for your clinic first.

How do I claim my listing?

Use the "Is this your clinic?" link on the listing itself. Tell us your role and a work email — an address at the clinic's own domain is the quickest thing for us to check. We verify before handing the listing over.

Someone else has claimed our clinic.

Write to us with the clinic and evidence of your role. A claim we approved in error is one we will reverse; that is a decision, not a formality, so tell us as much as you can.

Can we have a bad review removed?

Not for being bad. A review is removed if it breaks a published rule — abuse, personal details, something that is not about a visit. That is the same rule whether or not the clinic pays us, and it is the reason a good rating here means anything.

Can we reply to a review?

Not yet. If you believe a review is factually wrong, write to us with what happened and a moderator will look at it again.

What does a sponsored placement buy?

A position at the top of a listing page, labelled "Sponsored" wherever it appears. It does not change a rating, remove a review, grant a badge, or move you up the organic results underneath — those are ranked by rating and review weight, and paying makes no difference to them.

How do we correct our details?

Claim the listing and you can maintain it. If claiming is held up and something is wrong now, send us the correction and we will apply it in the meantime.

How listings, claims and placements work is set out in full on theabout page.
