For the most part, it was good. Everyone is very nice. Sometimes I got confused because it seemed everyone didn't know what the other was doing. I had so many different types of medical personnel coming in and I didn't know why. Ofcourse, the nurse and the aide were the ones doing the most. The leg massager wraps were on my legs but noone hooked me up to the machine until I asked if I needed them. That was the night nurse so after that she hooked me up. Also, no one brought me ice packs and all and I didn't realize that until I got home. I don't know if there was a reason not to but to me ice is always necessary when something is swollen, like when I had my 2 children. Anyway, the room was fine and they did respond to me quickly every time I pushed the nurse button and like it beaid before, everyone was sooooo nice. I appreciated that.

I had an amazing experience every one in the ER, ICU and Imaging were truly so comforting and made me feel heard and safe in a really scary time. Specifically Stephanie in MRI, Wilhelmina and Ian in the ER, Tami, Cambria, Yosh and Eva in ICU, Jacqueline who did my Echo cardiogram, and support staff Tara and Laquisha all made my stay in the hospital as good and calm as it possibly could have been. I will remember how safe and heard they made me feel during this terrifying time for a long time.

There are two aspects to this review. I will get the positive out of the way first. The employess of this emergency room are great. Super kind, attentive, and caring. I only had to wait a few minutes to be seen and I wasn't sitting around waiting very long at all. So 5/5 when it comes to the overall experience. Now comes the part everyone should be wary about. BE VERY AWARE OF WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE YOU HAVE. I went in to have an X-ray of my ankle done. Fast foward 4 weeks and I'm staring down the barrel of a $1500 bill. To be fair I have a high deductible insurance plan but I made the effort of going to an in-network emergency room and doing a cost estimate beforehand (thought the bill would be ~$500 after this). Yeah that didn't matter. Healthcare in the US is broken. Overall if you are in need of emergent help I recommend this emergency room, but if you feel like you'll live avoid any hospital like the plague. Ultimately, I am sour about the fact that I have to pay $1,500 to be told my ankle has slight inflammation. Now I understand why people avoid going to the doctor until they are dying.

This place is about money not health. My mother was deteriorating but I was told hca would only focus on padding her bill. So I got a do not ventilate order. They were upset. They gave her a bpap and refused to put her in a room for 2 days. I had to threaten to leave and inform medicare and united healthcare what happened suddenly she had a room. I should have left then. It got worse so I got help from medicare and hospice to get her out. They lost her blood work and it spiraled from there. Because she had 3 insurance policies they wouldn't let her leave. They sped up her death and didn't nothing to help her.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the care and conduct of staff in the Emergency Room at HCA Pearland. On April 30, 2026, my loved one was discharged from your facility. Since that discharge, he has experienced continuous, uncontrollable watery bowel movements, which persisted for several days. Due to the severity of his condition, I brought him back to the Emergency Room on May 5, 2026, seeking medical attention and support. During this visit, I encountered extremely concerning behavior from the charge nurse, identified as Tamara S. Her demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. She stated, in a very rude manner, that “it’s facts, nothing is wrong with the patient,” despite the ongoing and clearly distressing symptoms. This response not only lacked compassion, but it also dismissed legitimate medical concerns that warranted proper evaluation. As a caregiver and advocate, I expect healthcare professionals to take patient symptoms seriously, communicate respectfully, and provide appropriate care. The interaction I experienced did not meet those standards and left me feeling unheard and deeply concerned about the level of care being provided. Due to this experience, I am preparing to escalate this matter by filing a formal complaint with the State of Texas. It is my hope that this issue will be investigated thoroughly and that appropriate actions will be taken to ensure no other patients or families are treated in this manner. I request a formal review of this incident, including the actions and statements made by the ER staff involved. I would also appreciate a written response outlining the findings of your investigation and any corrective measures taken. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. Sincerely, LaQueta Williams

I cannot begin to speak about the hospitality that this hospital gave from the remarkable doctors and staff to the EMS driver who got me there very safely and securly , as he had on his siren and ran every red light, I enjoyed the ride and I appreciate the characters in which I honestly felt Human here I recommend if you have any insurance to come to this place where they will definitely make you feel cared for in value and also loved. They\nAlso, put your paperwork up in these really nice folders. So that you can keep your documents safe.I truly appreciate it that.

Went in for elevated BP and was recommended i stay overnight for observation. From the Doctors and nurses to the staff that clean and deliver the food. Everyone was awesome, friendly, compassionate and made me feel relaxed. They answered all my questions and were compassionate about my concerns. I thank them for being there and being the awesome team that they are!! Two thumbs up 👍 👍
