SightMD is truly outstanding. The doctors (Dr.Ellant is mine) are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, explain everything, and are incredibly dedicated. The staff is also so kind, caring and friendly. I’m continually blown away by their service. I honestly enjoy my visit, which is unheard of for a dr appointment!

Literally the worst experience I have ever had getting my eyes checked. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a medical office. Dr. Whigham was over an hour late to see me (for a 9:30 appointment, mind you). He came in like a tornado, and spent 10 minutes with me. When I asked questions, his answers were incomprehensibly confusing. I’ve been wearing glasses for 45 years and have never before found the experience to be remotely confusing. Now I need to schedule with a different eye doctor altogether to make sense of what happened in this office. What a waste of my time and money. Never again. Before scheduling here, read the other reviews. It appears common to wait more than an hour. Another person similarly wrote that Dr Whigham was “scattered” and “unhelpful.” I’m not even the first person to write that this was the worst experience they’ve ever had at a doctor’s office. It appears that this practice is not taking any of this feedback to heart.

Excellent first office experience. From the friendly, efficient front desk staff to the kind, skilled assistant who took me through my many scans, to Dr Ellant, who immediately put me at ease as he walked me through my diagnosis and what to expect during cataract surgery. He came recommended by my Retina Specialist as my cataract is the result of a vitrectomy for a macular hole. It’s been a tough experience and all this can be scary and daunting, but Dr Ellen’s and his staff made every effort to create a suportive and stress-free environment. I feel like I’m in very good hands and would recommend this Dr and practice to anyone.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Ellant and his outstanding team at SightMD. Dr. Ellant is a great provider — professional, to the point, and genuinely invested in his patients’ well-being. He treated me with dignity and respect, took the time to discuss his findings thoroughly, and made sure I understood everything. A special shoutout to Kathy, who works alongside the doctor. She was friendly, warm, and made the entire visit smooth and comfortable. Her energy truly added to the experience. I felt well cared for from start to finish. I strongly recommend SightMD and will definitely continue coming here. Wonderful team, wonderful care.

The doctor was very thorough, spent time going over the diagnosis and did not rush us. A bit of a wait but we were squeezed in for a last minute emergency appointment.

My experience was very pleasant from the moment I stepped through the front door to the time I left. The staff was busy, but each person I dealt with, including Dr. Whigham was very thorough, and took the time to address the necessary concerns. I definitely would recommend this office location.. I'm glad I was able to visit and get my eyes checked.

I have received treatment at this location for approximately four times in the past two years. The staff is extremely pleasant and courteous, and Dr. Whigham provides top notch service and diagnoses. His recommended prescriptions for my ailments are always on point and successful.

I genuinely don’t understand how a business can operate like this and feel no sense of accountability. An appointment time is not a suggestion — it’s a commitment. I organized my entire day around this visit, showed up on time, and was left sitting there for over an hour with zero communication. Not a check-in. Not an update. Not even basic courtesy. To make matters worse, I watched patients who clearly had later appointment times get called in before me. When I asked what was happening, the front desk response was essentially: “Sorry, the rooms are occupied. I don’t know how they’re handling things in the back.” So there’s no coordination? No system? No one responsible? If rooms are occupied, that means you are overbooking or mismanaging your schedule. If you’re running behind, call your patients. Send a text. Give them the option to reschedule before they show up and lose their time. At one point, after I had already waited excessively, the front desk casually asked if I wanted to reschedule or cancel. After I had already rearranged my entire day and sat there for over an hour. That’s the solution? And honestly, if the goal is simply to fit in as many patients as possible, then don’t operate on an appointment-based system. Run it as walk-ins, first come, first served. At least then people know what to expect. Don’t advertise structured appointment times if they’re meaningless. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of urgency. It felt normalized — as if keeping patients waiting for an hour (or more) is standard practice and no one feels compelled to fix it. That’s not professionalism. That’s disregard. I ultimately had to request a refund and leave because I couldn’t afford to lose any more of my day. So I unfortunately cannot comment on the doctors — the administrative negligence alone was enough. And must likely there will be a standard response under this review saying, “We strive to provide the best service and apologize for the inconvenience.” The irony is, respecting patients’ time is part of providing good service. And that part is clearly missing. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this is not a one-time issue. It’s a pattern. An apology does not return lost time. If you value your time and peace of mind, think twice before booking here.
