A majority of the nurses are awesome, compassionate and caring! Nurses Rachel, Bianca, Nancy, Nicole and Michelle on the 4th floor in the CVT Unit were awesome! The care they provided made my husband at ease with his treatments. Nurse Alyssa on the 3rd floor Progressive Unit provided exceptional care. She also provided information and explanation of terms to my husband so that he can understand what needs to be done for him to get well. Just all around great care. I wish the doctors making rounds would stay longer to answer questions and concerns. They seem to always be in a hurry to be sonewhere!
I am writing to share my sincere appreciation for the exceptional care my daughter received during her recent hospital stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff demonstrated attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. It made a stressful situation feel much more manageable, and I am truly grateful.
I would especially like to recognize Jacob (Jake), the nurse in the ER. My daughter has a very unique physiology, with veins as small as an infant’s, which has made even simple procedures difficult throughout her 26 years. Jake showed incredible skill, patience, and care. He took his time, ensured her comfort, and handled everything with a level of precision and empathy that is rare. In all these years, I have only seen one or two nurses able to do what he did. He truly stands out and deserves recognition.
The nurses in the Progressive Unit were also outstanding. While every nurse provided excellent care, I would like to give special recognition to Janet, who truly stood out. Her attentiveness, kindness, and dedication made a lasting impression on us. It is clear she goes above and beyond for her patients. I am very impressed with the level of care provided and deeply thankful for the entire team.
I am so incredibly thankful for the team of nurses and doctors that cared for my daughter during our stay. Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Sitek were knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. Nurses Angela, Christine, Amanda, Makenzie, and Lisa were very kind and always made sure my daughter was as comfortable as possible. My daughter especially appreciated Amanda & Makenzie.
Assistants Logan, Lucy, Makayla, and Maria were friendly and supportive in taking my daughter’s vitals and making sure we had whatever we needed. I would highly recommend any parent to trust the pediatric unit at North Central Baptist!!
"Hi Friend" & Life-Saving Care: Exceptional Pediatric ER Experience
I cannot thank the pediatric ER team at North Central Baptist enough for the care they provided my daughter. We arrived in a parent's worst nightmare—rushing her in because she couldn’t breathe.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm "Hi Friend," which immediately helped lower the tension in such a scary moment. The staff was incredibly patient and took the necessary time to truly investigate what was happening. They discovered her phosphorus and magnesium levels were dangerously low and acted quickly to stabilize her.
The doctors and nurses on the pediatric side didn't just provide medical treatment; they showed genuine empathy and kindness.
They treated my daughter with such tenderness and brought her back to her usual self.
If you are looking for a hospital that combines medical expertise with a compassionate, human touch, I highly recommend this location. You will receive outstanding care here.
This was one of the absolute best hospital stays that I’ve ever had. Had an emergency procedure that, with lab work, took less than 24 hours. Had to stay in hospital for 2 additional days. A parade of doctors and nurses, aides, etc.always with pleasant attitudes . Genelyn was the absolute best nurse assistant during my 2 day stay at NCBH. Hard working, cleaned me, my bed, my room. Came for my vitals, and made sure I had everything I needed. She always has a friendly positive attitude.
Genelyn, assistant nurse was great! She was very helpful, kind and encouraging. Often doing more than expected she went the extra mile. Same for Jame, Josue, Abby and Jack. Hospital staff all tried to do their best, and it showed. From my frequent requests for ice to their extra care to provide painless injections, they never seemed to mind. They all always tried to present an “upbeat”, positive attitude. They were accessible and easy to talk to, which kept communication lines open, so vitally important for hospital and patients alike. I sure did appreciate them all and am grateful for their care! The meals from the hospital food service staff were also quite good. Cajun seasoned salmon became an early favorite for me. I sure would like a choice of butter rather than margarine, since it is a healthier choice though. They tried their best to accommodate different dietary needs well, and the variety of food choices on the menu was above par. Administrators all seemed helpful and continued to keep the flow of communication smooth.
We had the most incredible experience at NorthCentral Baptist Hospital. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely supported, cared for, and at ease during such a special and emotional time.
A HUGE shoutout to our nurse, Diego—he was absolutely amazing. His calm, reassuring presence, knowledge, and attentiveness made all the difference throughout labor and delivery. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, informed, and truly cared for every step of my delivery. My husband and I were so grateful for him!
Every member of the team was kind, patient, and incredibly professional. They made the entire experience feel smooth and safe, and we always felt like we were in the best hands.

I had to take my daughter here for a medical emergency and the pediatric ER was such a positive experience. The check in receptionist was nice, we had a very minimal wait, and then we were taken back to be seen. Our nurse Marco was absolutely wonderful and had such great bedside manner, even in very stressful situations with my daughter. Dr. Nimir was calm, patient, caring, and supportive in figuring out what was wrong and helping my daughter feel better. I would recommend the pediatric ER to any other parent needing compassionate care for their child.
