Every time I come to this office, I end up waiting at least two hours past my scheduled appointment time. The process is always the same: I’m taken back, my pupils are dilated, and then I’m left sitting for hours with no explanation or updates. Showing up early makes absolutely no difference—I’ve arrived an hour ahead of time and still experienced the same excessive delays.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is the behavior of the staff. Their communication feels evasive and inconsistent, as if they’re intentionally avoiding being honest about the delays. Rather than offering transparency or an apology, they provide vague responses that don’t add up. Overall, the lack of professionalism, respect for patients’ time, and straightforward communication makes this a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values punctuality or honest service.
Due to a referral from this office, I was sent to their affiliated Manhattan clinic without verification that they accepted my insurance. I spent over $60 on transportation and sat in their waiting room for about 2 hours while partially blind, which was extremely painful and stressful. After waiting, I still had to stand in line for 15 minutes, only to find out the provider did not take my insurance. I then had to return to Queens and receive treatment at my local ER/ophthalmologist. This situation was unsafe and unnecessary. I am sharing my experience so others can verify insurance coverage before traveling. I hope the office improves its referral process to prevent similar issues for future patients.
Don’t get a checkup here unless you have 4 hours to spare. Made an appointment two months in advance and they had me waiting for 4 hours for a procedure that takes 15 minutes. The staff are nice and friendly but that doesn’t excuse the shitty system they got here. After waiting that long they proceeded to let me know that they stopped giving eye prescriptions (the reason I came in the first place) and only do eye health checkups. So not only did I have to call off work last minute because this ended up taking so much longer than I ever thought possible, I didn’t even get what I came for. I have no words left to explain my frustration.
Very professional, and organized. I was late, very late and they went ahead and saw me anyway. They also didn’t make me wait tooo long which was nice. The Dr. is very clear cut, and no BS. I like him and will follow up with him in a year. Very good solid practice, highly recommended to anyone in need of Ophthalmologist.
The place was super packed, but I would still recommend it; they must have a lot of reoccurring patients. There was a wait, but that was explained, and staff was apologetic. Every time I was seen throughout my appointment for different tests, they were done quickly and efficiently. Even though there was an abrupt surge of people, the staff did not rush me and answered all my questions. Definitely give them a visit.
The staff treated me very well. The staff made the experience more than expected. I enjoyed my time. The waiting area is very comfortable. The equipment used for patients is modern and once again the staff are very professional
