I recently had a full disc replacement at C6–C7 with Dr. Mark Wang, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very first consultation through surgery and follow-up, everything was handled with professionalism, clarity, and genuine care.
Dr. Wang took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answer all of my questions, and make sure I felt confident moving forward. On surgery day, his team was organized, reassuring, and extremely attentive.
My recovery has been going very well, and I’m incredibly grateful for the skill and precision that went into my procedure. If you’re considering cervical disc replacement or spine surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Wang. Five stars all the way.
Dr Wang is amazing! I have a LOT of issues with my back and he is the only Doctor I will allow to do surgery on me now. He tries every non-surgical option first which I appreciate. Surgery is always the last option but he is so good I have amazing results! Absolutely 100% recommend you see him!
I had a great experience with this office. Dr. Wang and his staff are exemplary. My surgery (low back fusion and microdiscectomy) went smoothly and I have been cleared for launch. Healing at my age may have taken a bit longer than someone much younger but I got there and I can walk normally again and I can even trot up and down the stairs again.
Terrible experience with Dr. Fields. He misread my MRI and I almost had an unnecessary spinal fusion. He said an enlarged facet joint was causing my problem. Fortunately during the pre op meeting the PA reviewed the MRI and told me it was a herniated disc causing the problem. He said many times the body will heal it itself and dissolve the protrusion. He told me to give it some time and if the problem didn’t go away, they would be there to help. What an amazing PA! And he was right! I know because it has been about 5 years of being pain free and walking 6 miles every day even with an enlarged facet joint. If you go to Desert Institute and based on my experience, you would be wise to see one of the other doctors. Note - the PA is 5 stars! I’m so thankful for his knowledge as he saved me from unnecessary major back surgery.
The whole staff from the front desk receptionist to all nurses were all incredible people. The hospital is beautiful and clean. Food was amazing. Dr. Field my back surgeon did an awesome job. Can't believe I waited over 30 years of severe everyday back pain to have it fixed. So lucky I found Dr. Justin Field and this hospital. Thanks to all
DISC and Dr Wang have been amazing. I don't even have the words to describe how much better I feel just 1 day out of surgery. If you have spine issues Dr Wang is the guy you want in your corner. Thanks to everyone at DISC for being wonderful everyday.
Dr. Wang is amazing and awesome and so is his nurse! Wonderful surgeon! I would recommend him to ANYONE! I’m so thankful he was my surgeon! I only have great things to say about him! The only thing is that the phone scheduler who I have had to deal with twice is very unprofessional and rude and this is of no fault to the wonderful surgeons! The phone schedulers are in the “front line” so to speak and unfortunately do not have good customer service skills. I see Dr. Wang in Gilbert, but had to go to the Phoenix office once and the young female at the front desk was unprofessional as well. So if you have a similar experience with the phone schedulers or the Phoenix front desk check-in, please don’t give up on this office! It will be so worth it to see Dr. Wang, trust me!
Dr Yeung is a fantastic Dr. He is kind and respectful, explains things and listens. He performed my spinal fusion and everything went smoothly- surgery went well, the hospital was great and my recovery has been excellent. I was back in the office in a week! I highly recommend him!
