I had a rather large lipoma removed via Acorn private clinic, I found the booking of consultation straightforward with availability that suited my busy schedule. The consultation was informative and detailed on how the procedure would go. The cost was reasonable and I left with a date for the procedure.
Dr Cotts was very reassuring and put me at ease throughout. Explaining every step along the way. I was in and out under two hours. It's been almost two weeks since it was removed and I have healed really well with no complications. I can't wait to get the stitches out to see the end result. Overall the experience was excellent, thank you 😊
Had a suspicious lesion removed here and sent for testing. Amazing service from start to finish. The first time I have ever had private treatment and I was surprised at how affordable it was, and its such a relief to not have to wait in the ridiculously long nhs queue. I can highly recommend Dr Croft for any lesion removal. Mine was on my face and I was very nervous about having it done, but he has removed it all and taken away the additional margins so that I shouldn’t need any further excision there if the result comes back as I feared. My wound closure is extremely neat and I am very confident my scarring will be minimal. He was very professional and put me at ease with his confidence and easy bedside manner. If you are thinking of having something similar it is definitely worth giving them a call. All charges were explained prior and there were no surprises. The clinic is spotlessly clean and modern. Once again a huge thank you to Dr Croft and the team for all the care and advice. I’m extremely grateful to you all x
Went in for a consultation about my left hand, I got explained into detail what my condition was, and the different steps i could take to manage my carpal tunel, I took the route of having surgury done.

Well what can I see other than the truth? Went there for some shoulder maintenance. Sorry and receptionist staff person who carried out my procedure. Everything was 10 out of 10. Extremely polite extremely welcoming.

Having waited for NHS treatment for my knee for absolutely ages, and there being no sign of me having the treatment needed, I decided to go private.
I contacted Acorn and from the outset I found them to be attentive and professional. I was seen quickly for a consultation and all of the options open to me were explained. Whilst private healthcare is not cheap at least everything was explained clearly with all of the relevant costs (nothing was hidden).
I accepted the treatment option best suited for me (Athrosamid) and the procedure was organised quickly.
I attended the Acorn hospital in Penarth which was exemplary. I cannot fault the staff or facilities there.
The procedure was performed by Dr Syed Junaid - I cannot praise him enough. He was caring, empathetic and professional throughout.

I cannot recommend Acorn clinic highly enough. I was able to book an appointment for a few days after my initial enquiry. Staff were lovely and reassuring and the facilities were welcoming. Getting answers to put my mind at rest without having to wait for NHS waiting times was definitely worth every penny! If I have any similar issues in the future then I will definitely be returning here.
I’m new to private clinic and was incredibly impressed. Everything from begining to end was a smooth transition painless simple logistically and the medical treatment professional yet human lead. I went in for an ultrasound after being told I would have to wait between 9 to 12 months with the NHS. I couldn’t wait that amount of time with the discomfort let alone the worry and prospect of deterioration of condition or worse. For peace on mind and certainty, I contacted Acorn and I will never look back. The surgery is easily accessible and located on the corner by school and traffic lights. Easy to get to and can take advantage of the two hour free parking across the road to the train station. My advice, if in doubt with your health and have to wait ridiculous time with the NHS, don’t waste time worrying and potentially allow whatever is wrong with you worsen, book an appointment with Acorn. That’s my advice and I will be venturing this route personally every time along with my family. Best money I’ve spent in a long time.

I spoke to her for around 15 minutesi think? on the phone and not once did I feel like I was being rushed or brushed off like they do in the NHS. I had loads of questions and she listened to every single one, explained everything clearly and was so patient with me throughout.Customer service like that is very hard to find these days. Dr Junaid was brilliant and took the time to listen to my concerns. Since having my steroid injection, my pain has completely gone and I honestlyy feel so much better. I waited 2 months before writing this so i can definiteky confirm the injection worked wonders. Im really glad I chose Acorn and would highly recommend them to all.
