If I could give lest than a star… I would I am writing this review out of extreme frustration and disappointment with the care I have received at this hospital. I arrived at A&E on Thursday evening with severe pain in the lower left side of my abdomen. I was told it could be an abscess, but staff were unsure whether it was located on the ovary, uterus, or bladder, and that I urgently needed an internal scan by a gynecologist. I was told repeatedly that I would be seen “soon”, yet I was left on a trolley in A&E for two full nights. From Thursday at 7:30 until 2:00 AM, I was finally placed on a trolley and kept there under unacceptable conditions. During this time, I had blood tests, urine tests, a swab, and a very brief abdominal ultrasound that lasted only a few minutes — no internal scan, despite it being clearly indicated. After two nights, I was moved to the main hospital, where I am still here on Tuesday, and I am still on a trolley. Since then, I have been seen by 4–5 different doctors, each giving a different opinion, with no clear diagnosis and no proper explanation. I was told the scan would happen on Tuesday, but then informed I must wait because it is a bank holiday. Meanwhile, my pain continues. Staff say my blood results are “improving” but cannot explain what is actually wrong or where the problem is located. Shockingly, the results of my recent swab are still not available, yet staff looked at results from 2022 instead. I find this completely unacceptable and concerning. The lack of communication between doctors and nurses is obvious. I was told blood would be taken again after one day — it took two days. Information changes depending on who you speak to, and no one seems accountable. The conditions are miserable. I have not had a proper shower since Thursday. My cannula sticker has visible dried blood and was not changed. I am given bedsheets instead of towels and must repeatedly beg for basic necessities. Some staff are rude, dismissive, and show no empathy. I feel treated like I am worthless, like someone “off the street”, despite the fact that I work, pay taxes, and have contributed to this country for over six years. What is even more upsetting is seeing patients with substance abuse issues placed in single rooms, while patients who are genuinely suffering and paying into the system are left on trolleys, ignored, and neglected. On top of everything, medical staff cannot even pronounce my name correctly, which only adds to the feeling of disrespect and lack of professionalism. I received at least five different medical opinions with no conclusion. This hospital is full of empty promises, misinformation, and poor standards of care. The goal seems to be to temporarily reduce pain and then send patients home without answers, diagnosis, or follow-up. I am sharing this because I know I am not the only one experiencing this. Many patients are suffering quietly and are not being taken seriously. This system needs to wake up. Patients deserve dignity, communication, basic hygiene, and competent medical care — not lies, delays, and neglect. Ah.. and to mention… I’m located in front of some door that say Danger, electrical hazard! This door area to be keep clear at all times!
