I had a filling done here last week and unfortunately have been in severe pain ever since.
My first visit was to have the filling placed. Shortly afterwards I began experiencing significant throbbing pain that did not improve, so I returned to the clinic for a second visit. On that appointment I saw a different dentist, who checked the tooth and said the filling was slightly high. She adjusted it by filing the tooth down and prescribed anti-inflammatory painkillers, advising that if I wasn’t better within three days I should return as it might require a root canal.
However, the pain became so severe that I couldn’t wait the three days and had to return two days later for a third appointment. I arrived for my 8am appointment and while waiting in reception another patient arrived who was booked with the same dentist at the exact same time. I could hear the reception staff discussing that the appointments had been double-booked due to a new system they were using. Shortly afterwards two people arrived who appeared to be trainers for the system, and the receptionist explained the double booking to them.
While the other patient was filling out forms, the same dentist from my second visit briefly called me in and pressed the gum on either side of the tooth and said it was still the same. I explained that the prescription she had given me was not helping and that the pain was extremely severe. I also mentioned that I was due to fly abroad in a few days, to which she said flying could make the pain worse due to cabin pressure.
She said she would give me the details of another dentist they recommend for root canal treatment as their own endodontist was booked for weeks. She went to reception and returned with the dentist’s name written on a sticky note and told me to Google the number and call them. When I called that dentist, I was told they would need a referral from 3Dental before I could book an appointment and that I would receive a text once the referral had been sent. I never received that text and, as far as I am aware, the referral was never sent.
I was ultimately left in severe pain having to ring around several other dental practices myself to try to find urgent treatment for a problem that began immediately after treatment at this clinic. The way the situation was handled felt extremely unprofessional and very frustrating as a patient who was in significant pain.
I understand clinics can be busy, but when a patient is experiencing severe post-treatment pain there should be a clearer pathway for emergency care or referral. Unfortunately my experience left me feeling unsupported during a very painful situation.

Dr Sajjad was very gentle, calm and professional, and made me feel much less stressed during my appointments.

Not only did she do an excellent job and made me feel comfortable throughout the process, she was also interested in my wellbeing in terms of my work, how my original name was correctly pronounce and how I was doing in general which for me was a massive surprise since I haven't seen this level of care in "service" environment in a while.

I had the best experience with them recently. I had chipped front tooth during Christmas and no dental clinics were open or taking in new patients. However, the lovely Amy in the reception gave me an appointment for 12 in the noon on the same day of calling. They quickly took my details and Dr. Paul and the hygienist did a wonderful work in capping my Broken tooth. They were really good and kind. I would highly recommend them to everyone!!
Had the best experience with 3 Dental Galway. Receptionists are all so helpful, polite and very professional. Dr.Paul is brilliant. He talked me through every step of my treatment and had me completely at ease throughout and now I have the smile I always wanted! Thank you to all staff at 3 Dental!
I was in a lot of pain and called in the morning, and they gave me an emergency appointment very quickly. I was seen very soon. I had two surgical extractions done, and the experience was much better than I expected. Huge thanks to Dr. Sajjad for his excellent work and to Nurse Daria for her care and support throughout the procedure. Now the pain is gone.
Great place for dental treatment highly recommended
I got fixed braces at the beginning of last August. Finished my treatment yesterday and I am over the moon with the result. I had very crooked teeth all my life (I am 59) and now I can smile with my mouth open for the first time. My teeth have come out perfectly straight and were cleaned throughly after the brace was removed.Doctor Paula is a superb dentist/orthodontist and I had no pain at all during the entire time I had the fixed braces. The dental nurses and reception staff were also a pleasure to deal with always. 3Dental is a highly professional, high quality business. It is also very reasonably priced compared to prices I got from several other dentists. I would highly recommend. A fantastic experience for someone like me who was always scared of dentistry.
