My wife had bilateral lens replacement surgery at this clinic on 2 March 2026. We travelled from the UK after reading positive reviews and believing this was a reputable clinic. Sadly, our experience has been extremely distressing. On the day of surgery, the clinic seemed very focused on taking the £2,600 payment, but I had to ask several times before being given a receipt. That immediately made me feel uncomfortable. During the procedure, my wife experienced severe pain and described being in absolute agony while the first eye was being operated on. The surgeon was asking her to stop moving, but she was in serious pain. This was deeply upsetting and raised serious concerns for us about whether the anaesthetic had been adequate. When we returned to the UK, my wife was still suffering with pain and blurry vision in both eyes. We contacted the clinic because her eye drops had run out and we were worried about her symptoms. Instead of helping, the coordinator was dismissive and told us to go to our GP in the UK. I asked for a letter explaining her post-operative care so UK doctors could understand exactly what had been done, but I was told the doctor/surgeon could not provide one. Since returning home, my wife has had to attend the GP twice and has had several appointments at Birmingham Eye Hospital. We were told there appeared to be damage in her right eye, and she has needed further eye drops. She is still experiencing pain and blurred vision. What makes this worse is that when I tried to explain that post-operative care should be part of the service, the coordinator told us to “pop into the clinic and see the doctor.” They knew we had travelled from the UK and could not simply pop back into a clinic in Turkey. In my opinion, the aftercare was completely unacceptable. They were quick to take our money, but when complications arose, we felt abandoned. I deeply regret choosing this clinic. Please think very carefully before trusting this clinic with your eyesight, especially if you are travelling from abroad. Based on our experience, the lack of aftercare has been shocking, and we are now left praying that my wife’s eyesight improves.

Ich war meine Brille / Kontaktlinsen leid und habe mich für einen Linsen tausch entschieden. Es war eine meiner besten Entscheidungen! Am selben Tag der OP war ich fasziniert wie gut ich schon sehen konnte und von da an wurde es jeden Tag perfekter. Die Beratung in Augen Lasern Türkei aber auch das Team in İstanbul sehr kompetent ,emphatisch und sehr hilfsbereit bei allen Sorgen und Ängsten die man vor so einem Eingriff hat. Habe mich bei mehren Kliniken informiert ,mich beraten lassen und bin sehr froh mich für Augen Lasern Türkei entschieden zu haben. Vielen Dank.

Die Betreuung ist eine Katastrophe. Mein Kontakt ging durch WhatsApp, ich habe gefragt, ob ein Termin im Zeitraum 26.03.-04.04.2026 möglich sei. Dies wurde bejaht. Ich habe mir also einen Flug und ein Hotelzimmer gebucht. Anschließend musste ich meinen Pass und meinen Hotelnamen zu senden. Eine Bestätigung oder generell etwas schriftliches habe ich erst nach mehrfachen Fragen erhalten. Aber auch da stand nichts konkretes drin. Ich hatte schon ein total schlechtes Gefühl, also habe ich mich für eine andere Klinik entschieden. Denn von hier habe keinen Termin, Ablauf und Abholzeit genannt bekommen. Sie haben sich nie wieder mehr gemeldet. Gut, dass ich eine andere Klinik gefunden habe, sonst hätte ich umsonst Flug und Hotel gebucht. Ist auch verdächtig, dass die keine einzige Rezension mit weniger als 5,0 Sternen haben.

Highly recommend Dr Gökmen for surgery. After EXTENSIVE research of surgeons experienced in this field , I found Dr Gökmen to be the best & most informative he really took the time to explain everything clearly. I felt comfortable making the decision. I definitely made the right choice. Everything went very well, from first contacts with his team preop discussions, his bedside manner before and after the procedure & the continued support from himself and the dietician. I had my produre & preop tests with Gastric Sleeve Surgery Turkey Clinic and their facilties are superb. Lookin forward to a healthier more confident future!

My experience with Dr. Gökel and his team was amazing. Despite not feeling ready during my initial consultation, I never felt pushed or rushed. Dr. Gökel patiently offered me all the information I required and provided resources for further reading. The assistant stayed in touch and offered invaluable support when I eventually decided to proceed with the surgery. I've felt supported every step of the way, and I'm deeply grateful to Dr. Gökel and his team for their unwavering assistance and care.
