I was quite nervous as it is my first dermatology experience. It involved the dr examining my skin concerns up close, showing me the up close images and explaining what he is seeing, and giving me 3 different options for treatment and his opinion which he felt will work best. I wanted to go with a laser treatment, so he then did two different patch tests of laser treatments to see what my skin responded best to and he explained downtime for both procedures, risks and benefits. I chose Pulse dye laser. He told me he recommended one session to begin with to see the difference and I can always have more later down the line if I wish to. I felt very pleased and never felt like I was being sold more than I needed or pushed to spend more money, it was overall a very straight forward and relaxed experienced. Reception staff have great customer service and were very helpful.
I attended this clinic for a skin consultation and was prescribed spironolactone. The doctor said blood tests are normally required before starting it but didn’t seem concerned that I hadn’t had one. I am also on birth control and this was never discussed as a possible interaction. When my pharmacy misplaced the prescription, it took days to get through to the clinic and over a week to resolve because the prescription was repeatedly sent incorrectly and even to the wrong pharmacy (another pharmacy in castletroy even though I emailed the right one and said it on the phone). It feels like the clinic is focused on seeing as many patients as possible rather than properly caring for patients after they leave.
Update - when I went to collect the medication the pharmacy told me the clinic rang to say the prescription is not to be given to me. This experience has been extremely stressful.
Have consistently had totally positive experiences at the Adare Clinic. Dr. Pleven was attentive to all my concerns & I left feeling confident that I made the right choice in choosing Adare Clinic. Fantastic Customer Service also from Liz & Rose. Both are so helpful , engaging & welcoming. They are invaluable assets to the Limericks’ Adare Clinic Team.
Spent over a thousand euro in 6 months with the clinic, the doctors are professional but the clinic seems over booked, couldn’t get appointments unless they were 2 months in advance even though my treatment required that I be seen monthly to receive my prescription. The receptionist never answers the phone or emails, probably because they’re far too busy to. Called over 12 times over the space of 2 weeks to get a simple letter for my GP, that I still haven’t received. I was told 12 times I’d receive a call back and still haven’t, the lack of urgency and attention to customers is shocking.
Edited to reply to your response; saying I left a dermatologist waiting is a complete lie, I called hours in advance both times. I understand your policy is to not allow to rebook after 2 cancellations but as I said I called hours in advance to cancel, I was asked to come back and told “it was completely unfair to not allow me to come back” after I was told I couldn’t come back, my review is very fair and completely true as this is the experience I did have with adare clinic. As I said my experience with the doctors was fantastic but the administration was shocking.
I was very pleased with the professional service I received.My dermatology issues and the pathway to recovery were explained in detail.This was a great relief as I was very nervous arriving.
I now know what's wrong and I am delighted that it's getting sorted , had a wonderful chat with the consultant and left very happy ,anyone thinking of going to the adare clinic for a consultation you won't be disappointed!!!
