Extremely talented, Amazing and polite staff. Took care of my medical issue with upmost care and demonstrated upmost professionalism. I had my first surgery of my life in this hospital yesterday, so I was super scared and nervous, but everyone here made me feel at home. Every question and need was addressed. The hospital is over stretched with overflow of patients, expect a bit of delay, but rest assured everyone is taken care of.

Awful Experience..been waiting with my 6 months PREGNANT wife for over 10 hours with a suspect of her having a blood cloth. First they sent her to Holles Street for them to send her back here. It’s an absolute joke. No indication of time when you’re going to be seen. Very scary state of this hospital, healthcare system in general and the way they treat people. What in the world? Hope nothing happens to you and you have to come here.

Doctor and nurses very rude , sent to hospital from edoc ,temp 39 shivering and difficulty breathing, left waiting on chair in cold room in serious pain several hours , then doctor said. It might be flu maybe you could go home , when asked why edoc said I should be in hospital ,doctor said they don't know how to diagnose patients , then said wait for blood test and later a young male doctor said you have flu go home no treatment necessary . This was on or about 27/11/25 at 3.30 ,70 years old male with chronic spinal pain attending chest clinic for lung problems and heart problems on various meds no exam just blood test and xray told lungs were good but had to go to doctor with some pneumonia anti biotics now on mid January still not recovered back to doctor tomorrow ,

came to St. Vincent’s University Hospital – Emergency Department with my wife, who was feeling very unwell. At that moment, I did not have my valet on me to pay for parking and, because it was a medical emergency, I parked for approximately 20 minutes in a disabled parking space only so I could bring her inside and help her. When I returned to the car, it had been clamped and I was issued a €125 fine. I immediately called the parking service, explained the situation, and apologised for parking there, but I was told very clearly that they did not care and that I had to pay. This is a public hospital, not a private emergency clinic. The fact that all parking is paid, even for Emergency, with no flexibility for genuine emergency situations, is unfair and lacks basic human empathy. In a hospital, especially in the Emergency Department, there should be understanding and humane solutions, not automatic penalties for people going through extremely difficult moments.

I have been to the emergency department in Vincents on a few occasions and although the wait time is very long (which is completely out of the control of hospital staff) I have always been treated and cared for by all the staff with positivity and kindness. They have always taken their time explaining issues that I wouldn’t understand and were more than happy to answer any questions I had.

I brought my daughter there with suspected appendicitis- they didn't even bat an eye and told her to have a seat in the waiting room. We were there for over 8 hours - all they gave her was pain killers - she was in excruciating pain - one of the drips had an air bubble in it which could have killed her!!! I had to call someone for it wuch took some time but thank god it was fixed ontime.. they never once apologised for it. We got there at 6pm and after we had been there for over 7 hours I heard an elderly lady saying that she has been waiting since 11am - we arrived at 6pm - that poor woman arrived at 11am and still hadn't been seen... so I brought my daughter home - went to St Michael's the next day - well she was in and out in 2.5 hours- all tests and bloods done.... and all clear... Vincent's could have e done the same but they weren't arsed.... 😡😡😡 I would NEVER EVER go there again!!!!

You are the worst hospital on the planet. The only thing you care about is finishing your shift, collecting your paycheck, and going home. You were lucky enough to be born human, but you don't deserve to be called human. Shame on all of you. Disgraceful.

The doctors and nurses should be ashamed. They're getting paid to provide care, but they don't seem to care at all, for one painkiller waiting 25min waiting. An absolute disgrace, disgraceful,disgraceful,disgraceful.
