Live in NI. Drove to Drogheda last night so I could bring my other half to the hospital to have an SCS removed & to get a hydrocortisone injection. Got here hours ago. My partner had himself mentally ready to have this device removed after years of disappointing "pain relief" just to be told that someone dropped the ball & never organised the actual procedure & only organised the steroidal injection.
Surgeon was super nice and apologised, but that's little consolation when we've wasted easily €60/70 in petrol/parking not to mention time (a full day wasted for me)
No reflection on today's surgeon, who was great...but the idiots who half-organised the procedure need to understand the ramifications that these errors have.
Nursing staff were great as usual.
Doubt that person who made the mistake will actually call & take ownership/apologise...
If they do.. I'll amend my review accordingly
From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with the utmost care and respect. This has to be one of the best hospitals I've ever attended. The nurses, doctors and staff were all so polite, attentive and gave 100% to every patient. A lovely canteen with brilliant menu, very cheap and lovely food. Brilliant hospital all round.
I was at the hospital today for a day case procedure.l would like to thank every team member that l came in contact with. From the receptionist, nurses, porters, doctors and kitchen staff. Everyone was friendly, showed professionalism, that eased my anxiety that l had regarding the procedure.Highly recommend the hospital.Thanks again.
I cannot express how amazing this hospital is I have never experienced a hospital like it such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were so pleasant the care and devotion they gave to me and the other patients was out of this world so a big thank you to the doctor who was so pleasant and caring, the nurses, the staff in surgery room, the people who look after patients in recovery room, receptionist, cleaning lady and Kevin the trolley dolly 😂 they could not do enough and the exceptional way the hospital is run their team all worked very well together which created the best atmosphere for patients
Just want to give a shout out to Kenny the tea trolley guy was so friendly and helpful ,making sure we had everything we needed ,tea / coffee ☕️ friendly ,caring sole. Amazing personality , a credit to the hospital. Please thank him for a lovely hosp visit .made the wait more bareable
I had surgery at the hospital 6 weeks ago.
I was one of th last patient . The surgery finished late. So the Doctors left the hospital no one come to see me or give me any information about the surgery and advice. I was worried about my recovery and the compression socks on my leg . I called them 6 days every day but they never answered my phone. It wasn't until the seventh day that I was able to contact them.
They were supposed to send a letter to my JP but they didn't. They were supposed to send a letter to me with an appointment for the doctor who operated on me for an examination but I don't have the letter.
Was at St Joseph’s hospital today with my Dad who needed a Day Case Procedure. All the staff were lovely especially the Surgeon Catherine who explained the procedure very well . There was no delays and found the whole experience efficient and the staff were great 😊
Attended the day hospital with my mother for her geriatric out patients review , the experience was excellent from start to finish ,all staff polite caring and cheerful.
