The Old Windmill Medical Centre will remain the worst Clinic in Limerick. If you value your overall health and well-being avoid this clinic, as their doctors and secretaries are a bunch of quacks and liars. When I was a client at this clinic, Ronan Ryder committed a grave scandal and engaged in unprofessional conduct regarding my medical records. In so doing, he broke and nullified the Hippocratic Oath he took to become a certified medical doctor. When I realised the discrepancy in my medical records and contacted the doctors who now run the clinic to fix the blunder committed by their former boss, they refused to help. Eoghan Hearne stated that they must seek legal advice before doing anything. Thus, I reported the issue to the Medical Council of Ireland. The case was investigated in a few meetings of the Preliminary Proceedings Committee (PPC) of the Medical Council of Ireland over the year. In his response to the Medical Council, Ronan Ryder claimed the discrepancy in my medical records was a mistake; he called it "an error" in one instance and "an administrative error" in another instance. Then I contacted the clinic again to get my medical records rectified, but Eoghan Hearne and Denise McMahon, and their secretaries Lynn and Donna were not helpful. They blocked my mobile number and email address, so that I couldn’t contact the clinic. I visited that clinic repeatedly to present the letters from the Medical Council to rectify my medical records. That took them over a year. Also, this clinic requested a payment of €75.00 from my solicitor when we requested my medical records.
A wonderful practice. The receptionists are a lovely bunch of ladies. Always so kind and accommodating and will always try to fit you in for an appointment even on their busiest days. Dr Denise McMahon is an exceptional Gp.She is very kind and pleasant and always takes times to listen to your concerns ..My partner and I have being going to Dr McMahon the last 3 years and we are very grateful to have such wonderful Gp.
Dr Ronan Ryder has been my family GP for past 19years very professional and the receptionist are well trained, Dr Denise has been so wonderful and supportive all through my clinic visit. All the pharmacist staff are so reliable 👏. The nurses are so good and friendly to approach.
Dr. Ryder was very kind to accept our family under his care. We mainly reached out to this facility for my pregnancy and childcare. The receptionists work extra hard to keep everything alligned. Nurses are super kind and helpful with all the prenatal care. Dr Amy Purcell was excellent/brilliant/fantastic with our baby everytime we sought her help. Excellent team. No complains. Thank you for keeping us safe.
My first visit to this medical center happened to be on a particularly busy day. Despite the heavy work load, however, Dr. McMahon, nurse Marion, and the rest of the staff took care of every patient and myself with the utmost professionalism and kindness. Patients here are well tended to.

Tom and his wife just took over the practice from Patrick Kelly and I wish him all the success in the world. I couldn't be happier as they are fantastic. I highly recommend this practice.
They got some new receptionists thank god as the old one was missing empathy.

This is my sincere and honest opinion/experience. This medical center had potential, now it's trash, pure trash. The doctors and nurses pretend to be kind. The receptionists however are vipers. They need training. They are severely lacking in communicating with clients. I have been to this place multiple times and each time not 1 receptionist will see what the matter is. They will look at me, full in the face and go do something else. It wouldn't take 5 minutes to see why I'm calling out to you or trying to get your attention. On my last visit, I was standing at the desk and a middle age gentleman was speaking with a receptionist. After she was finished with him, she looked at me and walked away. Didn't even bother! Having to go through them to get to my doctor is the first of many worst part of going there honestly.
As for the professionals, they are very unprofessional. I don't feel like they hear me or understand me. I won't go into details but I felt so embarrassed on my last visit. Trying to explain my symptoms and got ignored. I was literally rushed out of the office. They didn't even give me my prescription or my container to collect urine. I honestly feel really bad and hence the reason for writing this review.
I could've take it with the rude receptionists but that last visit pierced me.
UPDATE: After i spoke to the head about the numerous issues I've been having his solution was for me to find another doctor. Not even speak to his staff. I was at the end of my pregnancy. I had 2 or 3 more visits until it was time to give birth (that's how long i was putting up with them). And that was his solution. Instead he uses that opportunity to talk with his staff or apologise or sympathise. His reaction was to get offended and basically tell me to leave. The last thing a pregnant woman need is stress and to not trust her healthcare provider when it comes to her health and the health of her baby. I did not feel safe and i did not trust their competence. I would not recommend this trash place to anyone. Especially if they are not native to Ireland. If i could give this place minus 10 I would. In the end, I found a good doctor and finished my visits with him. I could not trust them with my baby. My baby comes first.
