I've nothing bad to say about the doctors and nurses here. All amazing friendly and a pleasure to deal with. All the nurses had smiles on there faces around the kids and plenty of stickers for the kids too. Such an amazing place to go to. Fair play to all the nurses and doctors you are amazing
My sons appointment was at 14:30 got seen only 16:45. Very disappointing. I have nothing good to say about medical education in Ireland, they are way behind EU standarts.
If you attend emergency department its always viral no tests done, go home it will go away. And its always a trip back because it doesnt go away.
My son had acid reflux which caused cough, we got prescribed inhaler for astma, to see if it goes away.
And many other incidents.
Im not the only one not happy in here. Sometimes its just really disappointing…
My son was admitted to ICU a year ago and Resus again shortly after. I’m so grateful for the care he received from such a professional, dedicated team of doctors and nurses in Temple Street. I can’t thank the staff enough especially Dr Ben and ICU nurse Sheena. We’re so thankful you saved our precious baby boys life and supported us through the toughest time of our life. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star only I have no option of giving zero stars. If I could I would give zero.
I received a referral from my doctor for my son’s ear, which has been blocked since June of this year. As requested, I sent the referral to Temple Street. I received both a response and a phone call confirming that my son’s appointment would be sent out in due course.
However, after not hearing anything for several months, I contacted your office today only to be told that my son’s referral had been rejected because we are not in the Temple Street area. I was informed that a letter had been sent to both myself and my doctor, but neither of us received any correspondence.
I find this situation absolutely disgraceful, especially coming from a public healthcare service that is supposed to prioritise the wellbeing of children. My GP will now have to send a new referral to either Tallaght or Crumlin Children’s Hospital, meaning my son will be left in pain for several more months due to Temple Street’s negligence and lack of communication.
It is deeply disappointing and unacceptable that a child can be left suffering in this way due to administrative failures and poor handling of referrals. I sincerely hope steps are taken to ensure this does not happen to other families in the future.
Yours sincerely,

Our 4 week old was admitted after a transfer from OLOL hospital. Staff were amazing from beginning to end. He had a rare condition which was not known about beforehand and Dr and surgeons were very quick to act on it. Care we received from nursing and neonatal staff was second to none. Anything we had an issue with our opinion was taken in to consideration and they worked with us. Baby needed a second surgery which was carried out promptly and again care was amazing. Baby had almost 3 week stay and plenty of follow up appointments. We were in St Michael’s B Ward. A surgeon visited us daily to check on his progress and to see if we had any follow up questions. I will say though, it is something that should be looked at is parents being offered food at baby’s bedside. It’s very hard to leave baby for long enough to eat out somewhere and queue can be long enough in the canteen. I understand that parents are not the patients but when baby has to be woken at intervals throughout the night parent needs good nutrition and rest during the day.
I would like to take a moment to Thankyou from the bottom of my heart and everyone in my family for the amazing care and empathy shown to our two year daughter and us from start to finish of her surgery and recovery. A special shout-out to the Anesthetic doctor, Dr Sheehan and Nurse Sheeba who was nothing but kind and informative from start to finish. Once again Thankyou ! As a nurse I was very impressed by Temple street and how organised it is !!
My daughter arrived by ambulance last year went to triage where a doctor came and checked on her and brought her straight to emergency room. She had fallen and banged her head and was vomiting they did a ct scan and she had to have emergency surgery on a fractured skull and bleed on the brain. They emergency team the surgical team were all amazing and the after care on Gabriel's ward and all the follow up appointments. I have to thank them for their quick response. I understand people are frustrated with waiting times but my daughter was an extremely urgent case and we dont realise these things are going on when were all waiting
Honestly If I could give zero stars, I would!
Terrible hospital. I understand waiting times are long as that's the way it is nowadays but my god ,my 15 month old baby was waiting nearly 9 hours in triage. Some staff in particular were just plain awful. I know they get stressed but the treatment they gave me and other children's parents was nothing short of a disgrace.
