While it was a bit crowded this morning the service was excellent. Sheila was lovely and welcoming even though someone was raising their voice to her. Her lovely smile and friendly but professional attitude was a delight. Give her a raise please and all those who gave great service today. My blood test was painless and my blood pressure was also taken. Thanks.

On 29/06/2026, I had a GP appointment with Dr Connor McLaughlin. He single-handedly restored my faith in humanity. I attended my appointment at one of the lowest points in my life, and Dr McLaughlin treated me with genuine compassion and took a truly holistic approach to my care. He was professional, kind, caring, and compassionate throughout. As a nurse myself, I fully understand the time pressures and constraints that healthcare professionals face when seeing patients. However, at no point during my appointment did I feel rushed or as though he was eager to move on to the next patient. In fact, I found myself feeling guilty that I might have been taking up too much of his time because he listened so attentively and never made me feel like a burden. Dr McLaughlin is a tremendous credit to your practice. The care, empathy, and respect he showed me made an enormous difference at a time when I needed it most. May God bless him abundantly and give him the strength to continue the outstanding work he does for his patients.

Shela is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. She is consistently helpful, patient, and makes every visit much easier. It’s always a pleasure speaking with her, and her kindness never goes unnoticed. Thank you, Shela, for everything you do!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with this GP surgery has been extremely disappointing and stressful. I am a Type 1 diabetic and contacted the surgery regarding a wart located in the centre of my right thumb/fingerprint area. Because I am right-handed, it constantly comes into contact with surfaces and daily objects, which caused me concern about irritation, spreading, and difficulty carrying out normal tasks. Initially, I was advised through the online system to purchase over-the-counter cryotherapy or salicylic acid wart treatments. However, as a diabetic patient, pharmacies refused to sell these products to me due to the potential risks and the need for medical supervision. I explained this clearly to the surgery in a follow-up request. After this, I was booked for an in-person appointment the following week, which naturally raised the expectation that I would actually receive help. I had to arrange time off work to attend, only to be told again that the surgery could not provide treatment and that they “do not really deal with this type of issue”. I left feeling that the appointment could have been avoided entirely if this had been communicated properly beforehand. What frustrated me most was the lack of clear guidance or alternative support. This GP has genuinely prescribed me to cover the wart with silver duct tape from a DIY shop, which did not inspire confidence given my medical condition and the concerns I had already raised. Unfortunately, this has not been an isolated experience. I have also faced ongoing problems regarding changes to my insulin prescription, with repeated delays and poor communication between the surgery, specialists, and pharmacy. This has caused a great deal of unnecessary stress for something that is obviously time-sensitive for a diabetic patient. I understand the NHS is under pressure, and I appreciate that staff are busy, but patients still deserve clear communication, proper guidance, and not to feel dismissed or sent in circles.

As a private person, I wouldn’t normally write reviews like this, but I felt compelled to. As a female in my 40s with global medical experience (NHS/private, professional/patient), I appreciate the excellent EMIS/Accurx systems driving efficiency, plus same-day and telephone appointments. All these good things said, prioritizing timing for same-day appointments means you might not see the same person even at the same site, so other gains might be at the expense of continuity. Doctors prioritize efficiency over quality and the patient experience—meticulous timekeeping often leads to issues not fully resolved, requiring multiple further visits, not easy if you’re unwell, working, or have mobility issues. Main issues: incorrect, misleading, unclear or incomplete note-taking (potentially compromising care outcomes) -!despite repeated verbal requests and checks . Felt a frustrating need to repeat and justify myself. What feels like a misogynistic culture—along these lines no chaperone offered for sensitive exams I’d expect standard. When I flagged to the doctor he blamed systems and said I (not he ) should report it. I explained I had no time or energy (while ill) and it was his responsibioity as the go—he then filed a complaint against me (retaliation—seemed a preemptive strike while I was too ill to respond). Here at 3AM, writing this instead of recovering. Female staff noticeably charming, helpful, professional—that said messages sometimes drop, leading to friction. Should you join the practice? Good for busy people (fast/phone appointments). But: multiple sites = long travel; different doctors each time; appointments spread across visits. Those with sensitive needs might want more nurturing care. Always check NHS records, or email/call the practice when needed—they’re responsive. Unfortunately, there is a patient-blaming culture I’ve never seen elsewhere. It’s persistent (men only). Neutral here—not feminist, just a patient desperately wanting to focus on recovery, not administrative battles or unwarranted complaint letters from the practice. These areas need serious attention if women, or indeed anyone (women and all), are to feel safe at the practice.

had medical review for private hire license and the experience was excellent. dr rrukaj was very accommodating and very nice. he greeted us with a smile despite working long hours (i was seen at 4:30PM) and still managed to be patient, happy, energetic and efficient which is something most gp lacks. he made the checkup smooth yet very precise. he even encouraged my wife to book for smear test which she has been dodging for years. i have nothing but good words for him and hope all gps would be like dr rrukaj. the gp practice is also very organised and very accessible (there is a lift to access all floor levels), offer blood tests available almost everyday, tannoy and tv screen for announcements and calling patients in, inhouse pharmacy (very handy) and a website that absolutely works. there is also ample seating for patients waiting to be called. the receptionists are very accommodating and also greeted us with a smile. i have been to 3 gp practice in my 17yrs here in london and i can say this is by far the best in brent. well done to the team and hope you continue doing excellent job providing excellent and reliable healthcare in the community - reygun

I’ve had an excellent experience at Willesden Medical Centre, and I want to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team. The receptionists are always welcoming, patient, and incredibly helpful, making every visit smooth and stress-free. A special thank-you to Dr. Saima Janjua, who has consistently shown outstanding professionalism, care, and understanding. She always takes the time to listen and provides clear, reassuring guidance. Her support has made a real difference for me and my children. I would also like to praise Nurse A.S (A. Spahco) for her kindness, patience, and dedication. She has been exceptionally supportive and always provides helpful information and care. Overall, the staff at Willesden Medical Centre go above and beyond. Their compassion, professionalism, and commitment to patients truly stand out. I’m very grateful for everything they’ve done for me and my family. Highly recommended! ⸻

Staff was incredibly kind and great. But to be honest the medical attention was DEFICIENT! Every single time I got there for an appointment they didn’t know what was the appointment about! I needed some bloods and the nurse did everything but the bloods! Had to tell here about it and she didn’t find the prescription! Extremely disordered! Next time I was there, WILE I was with a nurse, I received a called form another nurse saying that I missed my appointment! HAHHA honestly really bad experience
