Have been with vision express a long time its first time I have used meadowhall branch have to say very impressed nice big store lots of glasses to see which is why I came here very friendly and helpful staff nothing is too much trouble the optition who gave me my eye test was efficient and helpful I had no trouble picking my glasses lots of choice situated in one of the arcades in meadowhall near marks and Spencers and cafe just out side the shop very impressed can heartily recommend

On a previous visit we saw a young gentleman, we can’t remember his name but he was a dispensing optician and very considerate and helpful too.
I purchased some prescription spectacles approx 2 months ago and after wearing for a few weeks found that they didn’t fit correctly and after visits to the Meadowhall store it was decided that I required replacements. Visited 3rd July 2026 to compare new frames and ordered a replacement pair. Curt was so helpful friendly and knowledgeable would definitely recommend Vision express Meadowhall.
Great time experience on my own quick selective glasses wear, making it sound better by saving and using a payment scheme. Had a nice day proceeding with a good scheme offer. I had the most advanced technology eyes test although I am pre-diabetic which gave me a safety mind of how I’m going other than diabetic screenings. Well recommended optical store from Meadowhall branch.
Excellent service . Very professional team . Always felt very comfortable and at ease with any of the staff. The Eye Test doctor Sanam Akram was very in-depth and knowledgeable about everything . And explained anything I wanted to know about the procedure and outcome . Very very impressive .

Arrived on time was seen quickly. Pre test was quick and easy. Handovers were good. Optometrist was very nice and informative and gathered all relevant medical information. Sales handover was good although limited range of frames meant I did not purchase. Very few larger frames and no option to customise rimless for width and shape
Didn’t get off to a good start, didn’t book me in properly, was sat there 20 minutes after my appointment time. Loads of people walked passed, never asked if I needed help. I asked how long it would be before I was seen, only then realised that I hadn’t been booked in despite reporting to the reception and giving all my details. Someone did then see me immediately and the service was good.
If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. Took my broken glasses in on 6th March, I’ve had no text call or email. So I called them on 11th April (over a month after taking them in) I was told someone who was handling the repair would call me back the following day, they didn’t. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I waited until 14th until calling them, I have been on the line for 48 minutes of it just ringing not even on hold and still waiting.
Edit, they answered after 1H 12 mins of ringing, couldn’t provide an update. However did call me back within the hour and inform me that the glasses have been repaired…. They had been sat there in the store since 18th March and had typed in the email address incorrectly and despite it bouncing back didn’t correct it.
Very happy they were repaired though, just really need to improve comms.
