I recently attended The Sloane Hospital for a lumbar nerve root block procedure and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
My room was lovely, clean, comfortable and private, which made a huge difference in helping me feel relaxed and at ease.
My nurse, Lulu, was absolutely wonderful—so friendly, kind and attentive throughout my stay. She made me feel genuinely cared for and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The food was also excellent. My breakfast was delicious—the raspberry jam croissant was absolutely scrumptious, the granola was lovely, and the fresh fruit was sweet and tasty. The hot chocolate was made perfectly, and the ginger shot was just what I needed to cleanse my palate and start the day feeling refreshed.
I would also like to mention Jill, the Catering Manager, who was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. She came to check that everything was okay with my meal, and I was delighted to tell her how much I had enjoyed it.
Dr Neirami performed my procedure and was exceptional. He was warm, professional and reassuring throughout. He carefully talked me through every step of the procedure, put my mind at ease, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed at all times. He even came back afterwards to check on me personally, which I really appreciated.
Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, professional and efficient. The level of care I received was outstanding from start to finish.
The Sloane Hospital is genuinely one of the best hospitals I have ever visited. The facilities are excellent, the rooms are spotless and private, the food is fantastic, and the care is second to none. In many ways, it felt more like recovering in a high-end hotel than a hospital.

Every member of staff was professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. From the reception team to the nurses, consultants, and support staff, everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and reassured throughout my treatment.

Communication was excellent at every stage, with procedures and treatment options explained clearly, and any questions answered patiently and thoroughly.

I was welcomed to the hospital, taken to my room, asked to choose a post treatment meal, given clear instructions about the procedure. Nurses were very efficient in prepping me with very kind manner.
I was really impressed with their care. During the procedure I was talked to what is going on an knew what to expect at any point.

Room was clean and comfortable, all staff were really nice, reassuring and helpful. The catering was top notch. The only thing I didn’t like was feeling rushed to leave very soon after my surgery. I felt like I needed a minute to relax but kept feeling rushed to eat and use the bathroom so I can be discharged quickly. I understand it’s a day surgery and that I was at the bottom of the list on that day but the day ends at midnight right? The nurse was nice and friendly but I could see she needed me out asap.
I received treatment at this hospital as an NHS patient for ankle ligament reconstruction in September 2025, and my experience was excellent from start to finish.
My surgeon Dr Bajaj did a fantastic job. My ankle is now much stronger, and the scarring is minimal and I’m very grateful for the care and expertise involved.
The nursing team were kind, friendly, and always willing to help. When I needed to return to have my cast refitted, they saw me quickly and made the whole process smooth and reassuring. They truly made me feel valued as a patient.
I also completed six months of physiotherapy with Jason, who was brilliant throughout. He took the time to understand my goals, especially building strength for the gym, and helped me progress from pain and stiffness to strength and flexibility. I’m very thankful for his support and dedication.

Arrived at 7am for a small procedure to a trigger finger but not taken to the theatre until 1.30pm..long time to wait. Why request people to arrive so early leading yo sitting around for y hours plus?
Luckily l had my own room so fell asleep and watched some TV programmes.
Didn't receive any water during this period and l should have requested this as l needed to be hydrated before procedure.
Found being injected in between the hand and finger extremely painful but worse was to come. Directly after the local anaesthetic my inside hand was cut before it had set in and was the worse pain l have ever endured. Why didn't they wait 5 minutes for the anaesthetic to numb the area.
I needed to be rebandaged with fresh dressing and then had the stitches removed several days later
Against this experience l found the staff friendly and professional apart from receiving beverages before the procedure.
I’ve been a patient at Sloane for a couple of years, but recently had my first experience of surgery there. From the moment I arrived, every member of staff put me at ease. The admin team, catering, nursing and clinical staff were all outstanding. Genuinely first-class care.
It was clean and efficient. Not all the staff actually introduced themselves when they came into the room to treat me. They were polite but no introduction which makes such a difference when you are a patient which can feel a vulnerable position to be in when you are in hospital. Those that did were great and it was a much better experience being treated by those.
