I waited over 11 hours with no meaningful updates or reassurance. Reception staff were consistently rude and dismissive toward patients. When I asked a basic question at triage, the staff member was abrupt, impatient, and made the situation more stressful by rushing me and showing no empathy. The department felt chaotic, poorly managed, and uncaring. This was an unacceptable standard of care. I have no confidence in this A&E and will not return

I have just come out of tameside after a hip replacement. Mr Naim (orthopaedic consultant surgeon) and his team was outstanding. I can not thank them enough. The staff on POU ward should take so much pleasure and satisfaction from there first rate care . I can not thank these wonderful people enough. You should be so proud of the difference you make . If i could give you more stars i would. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Seamus (shay) McDaid.

Just make sure you dont have an opperation here! These people are so SO negative about the result you will be so low like I was that you will be dead before you get there. I ended up at Wythenshawe and these people were so SO good I cannot praise them enough. They were so positive that the cloud I had over my head thx to Tameside Hospital vanished..I have just had 2 major opperations there that Tameside would not do and im here to tell the tail.. Thx guys for being positive and saving my life! Love Ian X

A big thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff—from the interview rooms, anesthesia team, and everyone who made me feel comfortable before my surgery, to the team who operated on me (special thanks to Dr. Sunday Ameh, who looked after me every time I visited) and the recovery room staff. Everyone was kind, helpful, and always smiling. This was my first real experience with the NHS, and I couldn’t fault it. The team did their best, and their positive attitude made the whole experience easy and even enjoyable.

Absolute shambles today! No record put on the system from 111, AnE was very quiet and they had me speaking with 3 different people on the desk. Then referred back to the 1st person who taken customer service to an all time low with his "step forward" rude approach to everybody! Was this a hospital or a parade inspection?? Obviously came the second error from the parade sergeant who couldn't be bothered to add me to the system either and barked a few directions at me. Sat in some blue north from for 2 hours and I had to go back to the window to ask for an update only to be told.... im not on the system?? Seriously! Told i was being seen next but just seen a few doctors smiling and pondering around going into different rooms! Left the hospital! Really poor performance today

It used to be great place with great service and carrying personnel. Now it's renovated building with absolute shit show management. Bedside staff are mostly great people, but they are managed by complete imbeciles so detached from reality, that I'm sure, they don't even know what day it is. I feel very sorry for all bedside staff, they are mostly young people just starting their careers, or old employees waiting for retirement and can't be bothered to look for another job. All those young, ambitious people sooner or later collide with reality of this place and just leave to work somewhere else. This place should be dissolved and reorganised, management fired and replaced with people who actually got some decency and ambition to help people and not just tick off the boxes.

Had to visit Tameside A&E two weeks ago after an urgent referral from my GP with a suspected burst appendix. Even though I was practically passing out and hyperventilating by the time I checked in, the A&E staff were absolutely fantastic and had my pain under control within half an hour. Yes, a long wait ensued (I went in at about 11am and was still there at 7pm) but I had a CT scan and it turned out to be a few kidney stones. Between Tameside and Stepping Hill (where I was sent to later that night and a subsequent op the following week) all the staff have been nothing short of exceptional and I can't praise them enough. I can't remember names (Sister Laura/Lauren?) as I was on a fair bit of morphine at the time!! But thanks to all for helping me get sorted out.

I was seen here by a breast surgeon after an alarming ultrasound scan. I was extremely nervous being near healthcare professionals because I had lost that sense of safety... I had to change my gp surgery to the Millbrook medical practise from the one in Mossley (the old bank building) because I had experienced a shocking trauma from a reckless female gp there. My entire wellbeing crumbled after what happened to me in Mossley and I began developing health problems. That gp is a real wolf in sheep clothing, carefully picks who she'll purposely traumatise. The breast surgeon at this hospital couldn't even speak English clearly! It was so frustrating. The first time I saw him, I was in a room with him and a nurse with my upper clothing off, and as I was lying down he examined me quite heavy-handedly. I told him where the lump was and without asking my consent a second time, he then took his pen and pressed on quite hard drawing a circle around the breast lump. I found this totally shocking, uncaring and unprofessional. Many of these doctors don't tell you what they're going to do before they do it... they just do it. I really hope Dr. A***a has left now. He destroyed my trust in him. Luckily that lump wasn't serious so I live with it. When he did his letter confirming the lump wasn't dangerous he got my first name and my age wrong. This is the NHS and you don't always get treated with empathy or treated like a worthy person. Always take someone you know with you into appointments like this whether the doctor is male or female. Otherwise you aren't safe. Recently found out the reckless gp retired but this doesn't mean the healthcare profession is 100% safe for us patients. If any of you have been traumatised, just know that these vile people have destroyed their own worth.
