Absolutely brilliant experience at Spire Bushey Hospital. To start with, there is plenty of parking, which is always a worry with London based places, but not here! Inside the hospital, from Mr Pranai Buddhdev, whom we saw in his outpatients clinic, through the nurses, the receptionist in the Outpatient Department and everyone else I met (including maintenance staff who let me use the lift before them as I was with the pram) was kind, smiley, welcoming, easy going and at the same time professional down to a T. This is by far the best (private) hospital I've visited so far (and I've been in a few). The children's play area was very clean and impressed me with the fact that it had the liquid sensory floor tiles (I've only ever seen them provided for play in this hospital). In the general waiting area there is free tea/coffee (via a coffee machine); the toilets with the baby change are spacious and easy to maneuver in and out of (in terms of where they're located in the building) and it's overall easy to navigate the building with a stroller / pram, as all the doors are automatic. It was also highly, highly appreciated that when a private space to breastfeed was requested by my wife and she was given a free consultation room where she could take her time feeding the baby; she was not rushed and/or disturbed during the feed. Brilliant customer service! So really, I cannot fault this hospital's facilities/staff/resources; it will be a pleasure to return to it if I need to ever (as no one wants to have to visit a hospital). Absolutely lovely hospital. I had a day case procedure done, and everything was handled very well, from greeting, to the procedure itself, to discharge. Everyone was very professional, kind, and happy to help. Everything was explained to me clearly, and both the nursing staff and medical professionals were happy to answer all my questions.
My consultant, Mr. Arhi, was fantastic; easy-going, straightforward, and understanding, which made a real difference. I unfortunately didn't catch the names of the nurses, as I was quite nervous about the procedure, but every single one of them, along with the anaesthesiologist, was lovely.
The procedure itself went smoothly, and my post-surgery recovery was handled really well. I was given a private room on arrival and to recover in. There was absolutely no rush to "push me out" of the hospital, which can sometimes happen at busier hospitals; I was given plenty of time to recover and leave when I was ready.
Food was provided (from a good range of options I'd chosen before surgery) promptly after surgery, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, really incredible staff and great facilities. 10/10 - god forbid you ever need to go to hospital, but if you do, I'd recommend this one.
I have a complex condition and needed help starting physical rehab after being bed bound for a few months. Sarah and Becky from the hydrotherapy department were brilliant, really knowledgeable and friendly. Sharon on reception was also very helpful and kind. The therapy was really productive and successful as well as being more affordable than other places I had looked. Thank you everyone!
Overall, it was my first time visiting Spire Bushey Hospital, and it was a very pleasant experience. The staff, doctors, and everyone involved were extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout my visit.
A special mention to Maria and Jessica, who were very caring and made sure I was well looked after. Their kindness and attention really helped make the experience comfortable and reassuring.

What an incredible hospital!!! I had a minor procedure at this hospital and couldn’t believe the level of facilities and service that was provided to me. There was ample parking spaces, along with confident and friendly staff who helped me along the way all day long. Special shout out to Ramdass Lutchumon, who catered to my every need today, constantly checking in on me and my family to ensure we were comfortable and felt positive about our the treatment I was due to have. Also felt Dr Simon Macmull and his team were amazing, they explained the whole process clearly and reassured how they are risk adverse. This instilled trust in the professional care they offered.
I saw Priti last Thursday for my pre- op tests and I can honestly say I have not come across such a kind, cheery, considerate person - which means so much at a time like this. Her customer care skills were absolutely top
notch and it would be great if she could get this feedback. She saw me ahead of time and made me feel welcome and relaxed.
Regarding directions I do think it would be very helpful if Spire were to put in the unit number when sending directions to the Diagnostic Centre. Thanks for your care. Barbara Lemmon
I had an exceptional surgical experience with Mr. Subhajit Ghosh at Spire Bushey. As someone who had a traumatic history with hospitals and was terrified of anesthesia, I was blown away by the level of care and empathy shown here.
From start to finish, the experience was more like staying in a luxury hotel than a hospital. My private room was pristine and incredibly comfortable. I was also pleasantly surprised by the excellent food menu; the meals were high-quality and delicious.
The nursing staff and the entire team who looked after me were beyond wonderful—their kindness and patience completely dissolved my anxiety. I walked in with high stress and walked out with a successful surgery and complete peace of mind. Mr. Ghosh is a brilliant surgeon, and this facility is truly world-class. Highly recommended!"
Spire Bushey is EXCELLENT , in fact OUTSTANDING. I cannot rate more highly, this hospital and the amazing staff.
My mother came to see Mr livingstone initially in the outpatient clinic. He was kind, compassionate and caring. My mother is 91 and this was a very lovely way to be received.
She went to the pre-assessment clinic and was same by a jolly nurse who put her mind at ease.
She was admitted yesterday for her procedure and stayed overnight. We would love to commend particular people that dealt with her throughout her stay.
Simona on reception was particularly friendly, warm and very helpful.
Bill supplied all of Mum’s meals and plenty full supply of tea! He was outstanding in his approach and friendliness. Could not do more to help us, My brother and myself, we’re nearly drowning in tea and so appreciated it.
Tish, my mum’s nurse was exceptional. She epitomises all that a nurse should be and more.
Mike kindly took Mum to the car with such care after her procedure. We thank all of you personally for being absolutely amazing and making the process enjoyable. Mum is making a fantastic recovery.
