Overall, I had a good experience and would rate it 8/10. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. The eye test was very thorough, and everything was explained clearly, which I really appreciated.
The only downsides were some issues with the booking process. I was initially booked in with the wrong person, which led to a bit of a wait, and I was also told to come 30 minutes before the appointment which turned out to be unnecessary. While these were frustrating, the quality of the service itself and the professionalism of the staff made up for it.
Overall, a positive experience with just a few administrative issues that could be improved.
The actual eye examination was excellent, the reason for 3 stars is due to the awful shop floor experience.
Yes, it was a Saturday, but it was a booked appointment. They were busy. However, the assistant assigned to help me made me feel like I was a burden. I selected 3 pairs of glasses and asked for advice on suitability as i was on my own. She gave a slight huff and looked uninterested, and said that i didn’t need to pick them today and perhaps come back in the week! I explained why I could not and that I intended to purchase them today. I was told the glasses I had chosen did not fit my face as my nose was small (never been told that before!). She reluctantly went with me to select another pair and every pair was a no apart from one patterned pair, so chose these (feeling a bit under pressure to do so). I also wished to choose a pair of Px sunglasses as part of the deal. This did not go down well either. I again felt pressured into making a quick choice. During the measuring up of the varifocals the assistant had to get help, this went on for a while, making me feel even more uncomfortable and not feeling confident that the lenses would actually be correct. Fast forward complaint made, original order cancelled and new glasses chosen and today collected.
The assistant this time did not check that the frames fitted correctly around my ears and I informed her that they were feeling tight. I was told they will loosen up - yes I don’t doubt that but really? Another assistant advised my assistant that it is best to just loosen them so that I don’t experience any headache. This was done but still not quite right. Again informed they will loosen up so, I’ve come away with a pair that aren’t fitting correctly and one arm pointed inwards.
Overall a very poor experience and I won’t be returning. My glasses actually cost £375 so surely @specsavers you can treat your customers better!!??
Very nice attentive staff sit and take the time to explain and make you feel welcome, for a small shop however it got very busy when i picked up my glasses and this did make me feel a little rushed.
The staff were all very helpful and caring. Im disabled and they were all too happy to move things round to help me get my chair round the store. I was given a coupon to help with the cost of the glasses I picked and the paperwork was done quite quickly too. They even offered to have my glasses delivered as its hard for me to get out. Everytime I come to this store I always receive a smiling face and friendly attitude. I left feeling happy. Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
The Staff are always Great... Helpful and Cheerful.
They make sure I am completely Satisfied with my New Glasses. They help me choose Great Frames in my Price Range.
Specsavers always send Reminder emails to me when my Glasses are ready for Pickup.
I also had Extra eye tests to make sure every part of my eyes were healthy...And they Are I am Very Blessed to Say.
And I never have to wait very long to be Served.
Appointment kept on time. All staff were helpful and friendly. Everything was explained thoroughly, from vision to lenses and spectacles. There is a good selection of frames and I was happy with the options that came with my spectacles.
Overall my experience this time hasn’t been as good as previous experience. Still not happy with one pair of my glasses. Made to feel like I was being difficult by not taking them on the first fitting when they clearly did not fit properly. Went back to collect them was left for 45mins as hadn’t been put on the list of people to see and then I ended up just taking them as I felt like I was an issue
