Upon arriving, I was informed that I would need to wait between 30 minutes and an hour for my appointment because an emergency had come in and the opticians were busy. However, I found it ironic that everyone who arrived with me was seen almost immediately. The delay to my appointment only seemed to occur after the staff member completed my initial interview and became aware that I was claiming Universal Credit.

I would like to say how professional the young asian lady was today. My husband came to collect a pair of glasses and we was told the others would be week later. She decided to check and they were ready. He wanted to buy sunglasses and she continued to proceed to help him to do this. This was the most effeicent time in specsavers and it was due to this lady. Didnt get her name but she was excellent

I visited Specsavers Chelmsley Wood the other day for a contact lens check, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made the whole process feel seamless and took the time to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and provide a professional yet welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for top-tier eye care in the area, I highly recommend this team!

Perfect service manager Amy Denison fabulous, really welcoming and friendly. Mini the eye option was also really welcoming and put you at ease, lovely person. Yusuf the registrar was awsome then to top it off Tariy who helped me choose and fit my glasses was really helpful and also lovely a person. So overall everyone is lovely. And I will not be putting off going to the opticians again. Cheers guys

Had an appointment which I booked before gp referral. 1st call was to book appointment, I told them I have one booked. 2nd call the day after, they were not sure if I wanted it at castle Vale or chelmsley, although I booked chelmsley. 3rd call, the day after that, again asking if I wanted to change appointment date and have it at castle vale, I declined and said I'll keep the appointment that I already booked. 4th and 5th call I missed. Voicemailmrssage left to state the audiologist was off sick, considering if was a couple of hours before my appointment. I was already there, they just didn't know it and they lied. They were desperate to cancel the appointment that i made a month prior, that the calls almost bordered in harassment. I remember the staff in there, rude and racist to people. I witnessed their behaviour towards people when they are not standing around gossiping about them .

Nothing special. Had no help or given any advice when selecting frames. Had to wait for an appointment to collect for no good reason as I was given my glasses and told I could go. Why couldn't I collect at a convenient time once they were ready? I was very satisfied with the initial test and the prescription I was given.

Absolute shambles! I would not reccommend this place at all. First eye test prescription was way too strong and gave me headaches. Was told wait a week and see how it goes😡 went back for a retest optician told me first was wrong and too strong. Remade all lenses for 3 pairs of glasses. A week after receiving my glasses my eyes were getting worse, blurry with or without them on. I could not read my phone. They have messed up my eyes big time and im very angry went to the shop angry(obviously) and they basically fobbed me off saying its what i told the optician.i have made a formal complaint. The best they can do is refund me 100 something pound i paid for the glasses.NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I want to deter all people ever going to specsavers again! I will go to idependant opticians in the future1000%.

Truly appalling service from Specsavers, Chelmsley Wood. Not even worthy of one star. My wife was held on the phone for over an hour needing to speak to someone. Most of this time the recording said she was "number one in the queue". The message also suggested that Specsavers had my wife's number and if she couldn't hold any further someone would call her back at the end of the day. Well it's 5.47pm now, 17 minutes past closing time and you've guessed it, no return call. Poor, very poor service.
