Hattie Elizabeth
Came here after being directed by 111 and the service I received was excellent, which is hard to say often with the way the NHS is so stretched. Every one I spoke to from the receptionists to all of the health staff and doctors were really helpful, efficient and kind. Rob was especially brilliant, great knowledge and care. I was there for less than an hour both times too which is way better than can be expected.
I had an oesophageal manometry and ph monitoring on Monday. The lady who did this, Ella I think was her name was absolutely brilliant. She was the perfect mix of professional, friendly and caring. She made me feel completely relaxed and that's not easy as I have a phobia of hospitals. I didn't have to wait, my appointment was on time. I can't speak highly enough of this lady and the care I received. Thank you Ella x
If 111 NHS number advise you to go here, just go straight to A&E instead. You will wait for many hours and the get referred to A&E and have to start the wait again. This must be costing the NHS (and us as tax payers) a fortune.
I was a silly goose and managed to roll over my ankle and break it. My friend drove me over to the urgent care and sat with me - we both said we were impressed with it. All the staff were very kind and nice, the waiting times weren't bad at all - considering the horror stories I've heard, I thought we'd be sitting there for ages but I was seen within 2 hours, and x-rayed. I cannot thank the staff enough and would especially name Becky who was very kind and patient and let me and my friend yap, her bedside manners was amazing.
This is the worst treatment centre I’ve ever been to. Came here after 111 directed me here, spent 3 hours in the waiting room only to be told they couldn’t deal with my problem. At no point did the triage nurse tell me that this was an issue they couldn’t deal with and could’ve saved me waiting and I would’ve directed my care elsewhere. As I could not bend my knee following a knee injury and being in a brace to keep my knee straight, there were ways to manage this e.g a footstool so I had no choice but to keep my foot on a chair which a a senior harassed me to no end about, no compassion from this nurse at all- very disgusted by the care here and I’d rather die than be treated here ever again. I’ll be paying privately or dying before I ever step foot back here
Visited the Urgent Treatment Centre on 3 occasions due to my father sustaining 2nd degree burns on his wrist. On each visit we met a different staff member, all of which were brilliant. Providing great treatment and care for my dad, putting to rest any concerns we had. They were happy to answer unrelated health questions too, thank you!
I had a concerning experience at reception around 22:20–23:00. The staff member on duty was not polite and communicated in a way that felt dismissive and unprofessional. In a hospital setting, I expect basic courtesy and respectful communication towards patients. I’m sharing this feedback so it can be reviewed and improved.
SHE IS A INDIAN GIRL
Yesterday I had 4 teeth out under general anaesthetic at the Surgical Day Unit which was really invasive and everyone who looked after me were absolute ANGELS. After the procedure, my wound wouldn't stop bleeding which was quite overwhelming but the staff nurse Cath looked after me so well and regularly changed my gauze. The doctors and the consultants all explained the procedure to me well and made me feel considerably less anxious (considering my heart rate was over 100 because I was so nervous). Words cannot say how grateful I am to have such a kind team of doctors, consultants, anaesthetologists and most of all the nurses!
