Rochelle, who carried out my new patient check, was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. She took the time to listen and made a very positive first impression of the practice.
However, I had a frustrating experience when requesting a medical certificate regarding flying during pregnancy. I had emailed the surgery in advance and was advised that this was something a GP could provide, subject to a fee. When I attended the practice, reception staff were adamant that this was not a service the surgery offered. I found myself repeatedly explaining that I had already spoken to the practice and been told otherwise. The issue was only resolved after staff checked with a colleague.
After completing the necessary paperwork, I was then informed that payment could only be made in cash. As many people no longer routinely carry cash, this came as a surprise. I asked whether the request could be processed while I returned later to make payment, but this was declined.
Overall, the situation felt unnecessarily difficult and somewhat obstructive. I appreciate that processes need to be followed, but I felt I had to argue for a service that I had already been told was available. Clearer communication between staff and more flexible payment options would help improve the patient experience.
I would like to say how pleased I was with this GP and how thorough she was in dealing with my problem. In fact I would add that I have found all of the GPs excellent in their thoroughness that are helping me. I can’t thank them enough. They are all brilliant. The reception staff at Chester Road NTGP are extremely helpful and do their utmost to help me. They also are brilliant.
Everyone's in surgery very helpful and talk very nicely , easy to get appointment but its take 3 days to see GP waiting 3 days to much and one time appointment only 1 health condition we can discuss if we need more then need an other appointment its very difficult sometimes we don't have time to see GP 3/4 time.in week and just share 1 issues
I need if NHS improves GP surgery and we can not get only 10mint time at least 20 mint par person.
I have no complaints but if only 3 days waiting this need to be sorted
Thank you
Received a warm welcome from a lovely doctor who treated me with empathy and compassion, checked my blood pressure and was too high so she wanted to monitor me for a few days to see if it could come down or up my medication. The receptionist are very helpful and always strive to give you appointments whenever you need the.
I’m happy at NTGP
Ive been a patient for 8 years and always had a brilliant experience. Friendly staff & experienced medical team, always put me at ease and take time to explain any side
effects or concerns. Super fast with replies and actions. I sent a request on Tuesday and was booked in for the Saturday. Usually run to time and I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes past the app time.
Great doctors. Nurses are great with children vaccinations and I've always found the doctors and reception staff really helpful. Fastest way to get an appointment is to use the online appointment system - askmygp, log in 8am and very often you'll get a same day appointment (if needed).
I had an appointment that was rejected by the GP. The reason was that I was 3 minutes late. I was 5 minutes early but the reception was busy and they accepted my arrival 3 minutes late. It was not right that they did not accept me because I took the day off for that day. I waited to accept me but they refused. There was no one else at the reception. I was alone. It is not professional for me.
Had my cervical screening and in all honesty I am still shocked at my experience. Health care professional did not introduce themself and having had this procedure done before I knew it should not have caused me any pain - which it did. Nurse did not talk me through what she was going to do and the whole time their bedside manner felt very rushed with minimal bedside manner. I understand how important cervical screening is and if this was someone else's first experience of a smear test I can understand why women do not attend further screening appointments. As a practice please educate staff on basic nursing skills, firstly being bedside manner and reading non-verbal communication skills. I write this review as I am deeply upset at my experience.
