My son was diagnosed with Saggital Craniosynostosis and had his surgery in this hospital and I cannot express how incredible the team and all professionals are! The consultation was week after diagnosis and surgery was 5 weeks later. The urgency my son was treated with and support we as parents received is unmatched! He’s 3 months post-op and recovering exceptionally well. I can’t thank the craniofacial team enough!

I took my baby here for an MRI under sedation. The staff were very thorough at monitoring him before and afterwards. And the MRI staff were very good with him. I can not fault them. They also reassured musket and my husband and explained the process well. We are so grateful to them all who helped our son! Thank you to Neil Bugg, Lisa Flauell, Cathlea Cabrera, Ahmed Ben- Khoud. You’re all incredible and are doing an amazing job!

Had a good experience here. The waiting area was spacious with good number of seats, and it wasn’t too busy on a weekday. We were assessed quickly and then saw a doctor in an almost reasonable time, which made the visit feel smooth and reassuring. There is a charging station for smartphones and devices, which is super handy when you’re keeping kids entertained. Despite some works outside, the entrance was still easy to find, with decent signage and pram-friendly access.

I took my son there yesterday because the GB said that he has symptoms of Appendicitis. The nurse set the appointment at 3pm which was not convenient then she came to say that she changed to 04:40 pm. We went there to find out that she did not change it and we missed it. To cover it up, they took every single paper from us even the appointment letter. After an argument for this serious mistake, they accepted to see him at 6pm. The same mistake done to another lady came while we were there. Then they said another specialist has to see him. We waited 4 hours and they announced that the waiting time is 9 hours as if sick children came to a park to enjoy it not a hospital: sick children crying from pain, families exhausted, starving as there no vending machine only one for fizzy drink and chocolate bars, car parking not available,...what I can say : first degree misery. I took him out and left as he was unable to stand and fever and pain. He could not even use the toilet because it was very dirty and stinky. They put a hospital in the city centre which is very crowded and to go their you will need at least 90 minutes driving with the heavy traffic and my house is 30 minutes from the hospital. Britain is falling and no one is doing anything. Road full with potholes, dying system, corruption in administration, health system is dying. Farewell Great Britain, WELCOME misery. If you do not have doctors , for God's sake, hire. You see that you have a thousand children cases every single day and the waiting time is killing, hire more doctors so that you make the children's suffering less, you supposed to be merciful angels, not death and torture angels. You depend on GB's to do your business and they do not do it, but charging you double. For God's sake, WAKE THE CITY COUNCIL, MINISTERY OF HEALTH, PRIME MINSTER OR EVEN THE KING TO SAVE THIS COUNTRY. WE NEED TO BE SAVED TO MAKE GREAT BRITAIN GREAT AGAIN NOT JUST A NAME.

My 11 month old was very poorly and I was sent home from a&e the first time. Dr Yusuf from A&E was very nice and even did an xray etc on my baby. Unfortunately 24hrs later she deteriorated and we needed to come back to A&E After spending pretty much all night there we were placed on observation unit then CDU. Got put on PAU yesterday and although most staff have been very kind (the odd few have been just okay) Loga - staff nurse from PAU has been extremely kind. She has been considerate which stood out for me. I consented for my daughters obs to be done any time etc and as you can imagine I’m exhausted from literally no sleep for days every other nurse has woken me up just to tell me theyre doing obs. Loga got on with it and was considerate and kind. She also went above and beyond to check on my baby throughout the night and did so with a smile on her face. She also made sure I was okay throughout the night. Thank you Loga for the difference you have made. Also the NIC tonight Helen was very welcoming when we were admitted to this ward. Overall, I have had a positive experience at this hospital.

Staff are angels in disguise. I do not have a bad thing to say about this hospital! My baby has been under their care for the last 5 months and they have been faultless. THESE PEOPLE ACTUALLY CARE AND TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK!!! Katie Herbert is a absolute god send, she's a credit to the NHS!!! Thank you all.

I am under the Birmingham children's hospital and I have been for 12 years so far (since 3 ½) and the nurses, doctors, cleaners and all the staff are very professional and supportive of anything you are going through. They are always there to help. I must say in particular they have been amazing with CKD as I haven't really been admitted to other departments but overall a incredible and special place ❤️. I feel welcomed every time without fail 😊

If an NHS health records clerk or hospital employee knowingly falsifies, alters, or hides information in a medical record to cover up a lie or deceive a parent, they may have breached both data protection laws and professional standards. Parents have the right to request access to records using a Subject Access Request (SAR) Key Laws and Rights Breached: If a health records clerk altered, omitted, or selectively withheld information to cover up a mistake or provide false documents, several laws and regulations may have been broken. Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) & UK GDPR: Patients and parents have a legal right to receive an accurate, unedited, and truthful copy of their medical data. Intentionally altering, hiding, or falsifying personal data to prevent a parent from seeing the truth breaches the 7 core principles of the GDPR, specifically the principle of accuracy. The False Misleading Information Offence: Under the care Act 2014, health and care providers can commit an offence if they intentionally supply or publish information that is false or misleading in a material respect. Fraud Act 2006: If the clerk altered the child's medical records with the intent to make a gain (e.g, protecting the support worker's employment) or cause a loss/detriment to the child and parent, this could be prosecuted as fraud by false representation. Formally Object To The Record: Submit a formal written complaint to the hospital or NHS Trust's Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), state what information you believe was omitted or falsified, and request that the file be investigated and corrected. Lodge A Safeguarding Complaint: Since the false information involved CAMHS and a support worker, consider elevating this to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to investigate potential safeguarding malpractice. If a CAMHS manager deliberately omits a child's safeguarding disclosure to cover up an incident at the child's school or protect a colleague social worker, they may breach several professional and legal duties in the UK. This could include professional misconduct, a breach of the Duty of Candour, and potentially misconduct in public office if they are a senior NHS official. NMC/HCP Codes: If the CAMHS manager is a registered nurse or allied health professional, omitting relevant clinical or safeguarding details breaches the NMC Code or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards., which mandate keeping clear, accurate records and acting without delay if a person is vulnerable. Duty of Candour: All registered health and social care providers have a statutory duty to be open and honest when things go wrong or when significant information has been omitted or mishandled. Intentionally falsifying or altering medical or clinical records with the intention to mislead or cover up an incident is a serious offence and often viewed as fraud or deception.
