From the moment we arrived EVERYONE was welcoming and polite. They made sure we were taken care of and thoroughly explained everything that was being provided for our 1yr old son. Having being our first time there I will definitely say the entire staff from security to the nurses and doctors. The grounds and rooms were very well maintained and clean as well! They treated our son with special care as if he was a part of their family. This was his first time in the hospital as well as being sick since he was born so it means a lot to have staff that care.
Worst ER I've ever been too. If you want proper care for your child in an emergency go elsewhere. My non verbal sons life was in jeopardy and we waited over 4 hours after getting taken back immediately before a nurse or doctor even looked/touched him! I had to monitor his vitals myself with my own finger pulsox and thermometer. They didn't complete a vital urinalysis that was ordered even after admittance. The doctor's, nurses, specialists on call are all terrible and have no compassion. What kind of ER doesn't have an active radiologist to review ultrasounds/xrays immediately?!???! The 2 times I brought my son, within 2 days of each other my sons xrays weren't reviewed until the following morning. If your child's specialists are at this hospital they do not even reach out to them literally only reason I drove over the bridge to go there both times. His care and my piece of mind were not handled correctly at all! Still don't know exactly what's wrong with him! St Christopher’s literally left it in his pediatrician's lap when all of his specialists are at this hospital. If I could give zero stars I would.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care my son received at Christopher Hospital. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff—including the doctors, nurses, and support team—treated him with the utmost respect, kindness, and compassion.
It was incredibly comforting to see how fond the staff became of him during his stay. They went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well taken care of, which meant the world to our family. Thank you to the incredible team at Christopher Hospital for turning a stressful time into such a positive experience. We are deeply grateful for your dedication and heart!
My experience here from start to finish was overwhelmingly kind. I hope others have experienced this level of kindness for their visits. Staff, doctors, nurse child life care team is amazing. Great hospital. Hopefully one day I’ll be blessed enough to donate time to volunteer and continue to spread the same kindness that was given to our family. GI EMERGENCY ROOM STAFF YOU ROCK!!!
My experience at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children was one of the most traumatic experiences my family has ever gone through.
As parents of a child with sickle cell disease, we trusted the medical team to care for our child with compassion, honesty, and respect. Instead, we felt dismissed, intimidated, and emotionally devastated throughout the process.
During our child’s treatment, we became deeply concerned about the amount of sodium IV fluids being administered and feared it was worsening the condition and being used to pressure us into consenting to blood transfusions that we were uncomfortable with at the time. We repeatedly voiced our concerns, but we did not feel heard.
What made the situation even more painful was that both parents were escorted out of the hospital by security, leaving our child alone and frightened during an already traumatic medical crisis. No child should have to experience that without the comfort of their parents present.
We were also devastated when Dr. Nataly Apollonsky pursued court intervention against our family. From our perspective, information presented about our daughter’s condition did not reflect what we believed was truly happening, including statements that suggested that our child was experiencing heart failure. The entire ordeal left us feeling powerless, traumatized, and unheard.
This experience has had a lasting emotional impact on our family and especially on our child. I am sharing this because families deserve transparency, compassion, informed consent, and respect when making difficult medical decisions for their children.
I love the orthopedic team at St. Christopers in Jenkintown. From them ladies at the front desk on up. My boys play sports and they play hard. I always get a same day appointment and my family’s needs are always met with love and kindness. Anytime one of my kids breaks or sprains something I go right to st. Chris they get the
Job done
Absolutely terrible hospital. My son came in via ambulance from having a seizure. We were sent to the waiting room without being checked by a doctor. The one doctor who claimed to have checked my son took one look at him, no exam or anything and sent us to triage. My son was limp and lethargic at this time for over 30 minutes from his seizure. When i asked for the doctors name who they claimed checked my son it was not provided. I asked multiple times, including the Dr himself who said he did the “exam” and he would not give us his name. We ending up leaving and rushed to CHOP who took him back immediately ( with a full waiting room) because he needed immediate care. I never write bad reviews but i beg parents take your children elsewhere. Even after contacting the hospital to complain nothing was done ! And oddly there was no record of my sons so called exam. I would love if someone from the hospital would respond or reach out but it seems they are more worried about protecting their doctors then giving the care children deserve.
My experience on 3/25/26 was horrible. My daughter had a seizure in the dental office. She has a history of epilepsy. The dentist asked did I want him to call for backup, I stated “No”. He still proceeded to do so. Doctors and nurses came running so I knew how this was about to go. Dr Gillman that works in ER will tell you nothing but lies. I stated my daughter does not do well in that Er. When she wakes up she will get upset and possibly put herself into another seizure. He insured me Shannon will be in a PRIVATE room towards the back. They put us in a room with 4 beds by the door. He didn’t listen to nothing I said that’s why I didn’t want to come to that ER. They never listen. I dont know if it was a money scheme because it was no reason for my daughter to go to that ER. He pressured me into registering her and that’s when I realized that hospital only think about money. It was another family in there before us and they wasnt even registered yet but they rushed to register my daughter. Yeah nothing but money. They was trying to admit my daughter. I stated absolutely not. This is not her hospital. Dr Gillman was so adamant to keep her there. I signed my daughter out on AMA because the ending results will be the same. Her doctor wasn’t going to admit her or increase medication. I will avoid this hospital
