Went to clinic for a first time consult for an ongoing issue. An annual examination kept being pushed even though I wasn’t due till August which I explained. They said it was because I was a new patient and it would help the visit. I refused. I paid a copayment for a consult visit, not an annual visit which I complete with my own doctor. I explained if they thought necessary a pelvic examination can be completed but this visit was not an annual. After an ultrasound was completed , I was told a pelvic examination no longer needed which I found even stranger. We talked about possible IUD insertion and when asked about sending urine out for testing prior to IUD insertion for posible STI testing, I asked if it was protocol and was told yes. I checked with my doctor for IUD insertion and it’s only required if high risk, which I’m not, but it was not explained simply assumed. I called to have the urine cancelled but no direct number to location only call center. I would definitely avoid as a healthcare professional and woman simply seeking honest and transparent help.
From the moment I met Dr. Nwosu she made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. She took the time to walk me through the entire process, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt safe and confident every step of the way. Her team was also incredible kind, professional, supportive, and truly caring throughout the entire experience.
Going into surgery can be nerve-wracking, but I felt completely confident in her skills and trusted that I was in the best hands possible. What stood out most to me was how genuine and compassionate she was; she made me feel like we had known each other forever.
I’m so grateful for the care I received and will absolutely continue seeing her as my primary doctor moving forward. I would highly recommend her to any woman looking for a doctor who is not only highly skilled, but also deeply caring and personable.
Went to PureOBGYN as soon as I found out I was pregnant and honestly had a really great experience. Everyone — doctors, nurses, staff — was super professional, nice and easy to deal with. All my tests were done on time, and anytime I had a concern, they were quick to help and answer questions.
Scheduling was pretty flexible between their two locations, which made things a lot easier. Ended up delivering with one of their doctors and the whole experience was smooth and nothing but positive!
Dr. Christine Friedman is truly one of the most kind and compassionate doctors I’ve met. She takes her time to listen, explains everything thoroughly, and never makes you feel rushed. Her bedside manner is exceptional and she genuinely cares about her patients. I always leave feeling informed, heard, and comfortable. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who is both knowledgeable and caring.
This review is a few months late, but after going to a new OBGYN I feel compelled to tell women not to go here. The first time I went for a check in, the doctor made a few snide and shameful comments. That doctor since left, so I returned for a birth control consultation to get my nexplanon removed. The doctor herself was wonderful, but the office staff tried to double charge me for asking about IUD removal... at the birth control appointment that I had already paid for??? not to mention they didn't know if my insurance covered my birth control, and when I asked, they told me I need to figure that out and I can come back. Excuse me, I am quite literally paying you guys because I do not understand how insurance works. My new OBGYN was able to give me the answer to that in literally 2 minutes, it's not that hard.
I'm sure there are some great doctors here and I don't want to discount their experience, but having two bad experiences here on completely separate occasions is insane. The OBGYN should be a place where women can come for some uncomfortable appointments and conversations without things being made harder by staff attitude.
I just had my first appointment with Dr. Oluchi Nwosu, and I am so glad I found her! She came recommended to me, so I knew she would be good, but she exceeded my expectations. She made me feel so comfortable, so welcomed & answered all my questions thoroughly, honestly& without judgement. I never thought I would leave a gynecological appointment in a better mood than when I arrived. 10/10 - thank you Dr. Nwosu
I left my appointment crying because I felt absolutely violated. i do NOT recommend seeing Dr. Lowe.
It's my first time at an OBGYN so, naturally, i have not had a pap smear before. Both the nurse and Dr. Lowe knew this as I told them both beforehand. The nurse even comments on my raised blood pressure because of my nerves.
Dr. Lowe says, verbatim, "The nurse and I are going to take a look around and then we're going to do your pap smear." They did not 'look around'; in fact, immediately after I spread my legs, she inserts the scalpel with absolutely no warning.
I wasn't even sure what she pushed inside of me until I confirmed with her mid-test! She kept telling me to relax as she was scraping but because I was so unprepared and completely caught off guard with the insertion, I could not relax. The entire experience was so, so painful because I was so tense the entire time. Yes, a pap smear is uncomfortable but under proper care, there should not be this level of excruciating pain. A good doctor would have told me what to expect during the procedure beforehand. A decent doctor would have at least told me that they're about to insert something inside of me before doing so. Dr. Lowe did neither.
I hope this was just an off-day and that this is not the standard experience women have with Dr. Lowe, especially for the sake of women who have been victims of sexual assault. I feel so dehumanized and violated. I left the office crying and haven't stopped since. This was the kind of experience that prevents women from seeking further care.

This office called me in for an unwanted and unnecessary appointment and then refused to refund me the co-pay for it.
I came in a follow up scan after I was told my pap smear returned as abnormal at my annual exam. I waited for days for the results of my follow up scan when I received an e-mail that an appointment had been confirmed for me that I myself had not scheduled.
I called the office to ask what the appointment was for and was told it was to “review my results” though they could not tell me over the phone what those results were because the doctor herself hadn’t reviewed them yet and to call back or check the portal for updates. I continued to call back several times over the next week up until my appointment asking for an update and was repeatedly told that the doctor hadn’t reviewed the test yet and that I had to come in. This was extremely anxiety inducing as there aren’t many good news outcomes that would require an in person meeting. My mother, a medical professional with a full understanding of the situation at the time, booked a $300 train ticket to come to the appointment having herself never known a patient to be called in without there being serious results to review.
I had to call out of work the day of the appointment (a Tuesday morning that I hadn’t chosen myself) and went in and paid the $40 co-pay as required in the waiting room. When I was called in the doctor asked me why I was there and I told her that I was told I needed to come in to review my results to which she was very confused and explained they were totally normal and there was no reason for me to be there. She was extremely kind and apologetic understanding how terrifying it would be to be screened for cervical cancer and then told I needed to come in for my results and explained she never would’ve had a patient receive results in person whether it was good news or bad news, and she had no idea why I was asked to come in. I was told the whole situation would be brought the GM of the practice & that I should receive a refund for the visit.
For the next several months I repeatedly and very respectfully contacted the office’s accounting team & front desk by phone, email, and even in person (as I tried to be understanding that mistakes can happen and returned for my next annual visit) to receive the co-pay returned to my original payment method or to my account balance to cover my next service. Their team has been completely unresponsive, unhelpful & unapologetic while continuing to request an additional $15 payment from me that I do not intend to pay until this is resolved, which will probably be in court at this point.
