⭐️ 1 Star – Very Unprofessional Experience
This was my first and definitely my last visit to this office. The front desk staff were extremely rude and unprofessional.
Because it was my first time there for an orthodontist appointment, I accidentally went to the wrong front desk. Instead of helping me, the staff member spoke to me with unnecessary attitude and aggression simply because she could not find my children’s names on the schedule. Later I realized the appointment was actually listed at a different desk.
When I politely asked another staff member to correct my daughter’s name (which is spelled with “PH,” not “F”) and to fix my children’s last name, she argued with me and said it didn’t matter. That response was very disrespectful and unprofessional.
To make things worse, at the end of the appointment no one came to speak with me to explain what was done or what treatment my children might need. I had to go and ask to speak with someone myself.
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dental office. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.
The Northeast office is very popular and always busy. That being said, everyone does a wonderful job keeping everything moving efficiently. The front desk team is friendly, patient, and helpful. The doctors and hygienists are knowledgeable and great with the kids. I appreciate how there are always appointments available. Also, I feel like everyone’s time is being valued and the services are top tier. Thank you for doing an excellent job!
Staff was able to take her back right away but there were no updates considering my child was being seen for an hour or so. X-rays were taken but I wasn’t aware until after the fact. If there was some way to update parents throughout the appointment that would not only give an idea of time but offer some form of ease being as though parents aren’t allowed back with the minor.
First and last time, I will never bring my kids to this place. Took my daughter back for over 2 hours, for cleaning. Had to go get my daughter whom the whole time she was back there was just waiting to be seen! Front desk was rude, and my daughter came back crying because she was sitting for to long. The lady that got her did not talk to us, just yell before we left, she has no cavities! Never in my damn life will I bring any of my kids here, less recommend anyone to bring their kids here. Better off somewhere else
I never leave reviews but the frustration with this place deserves to be exposed. First and last time here. Why is there no communication with the parent? Felt like they just do whatever they want and don't want to be exposed so they leave the parents in the waiting room and consulting with the child? We waited 2 months for an orthodontist consultation appointment, as soon as we walked in, no proper communication with the parent, like what are they going to do x-rays? exams? Doctor did a consultation without the parent in the room, I didn't even meet this Doctor to explain to me what's going on, and if I had any questions. The assistant later called me in and tried to explain what the Doctor said and during that time I realized we wasted our time coming here. This is the weirdest unprofessional "dental" experience ever. Definitely not returning because what do you mean you're not going to speak to the parents that are paying for all this? Never have I visited a Dentist where they didn't let the parents to be present, such a weird and creepy place.
I arrived at 4:10 PM for my scheduled 4:00 PM appointment. Prior to arriving, I called the office to inform staff that I would be running late and was advised that it would not be an issue. However, upon arrival, I was informed that I would need to reschedule due to my lateness.
At no point did anyone contact me to advise that the appointment would need to be rescheduled. I found the interaction at the front desk to be discourteous and unprofessional. Better communication and customer service would have made this situation much easier to understand and resolve.
If you have a child with special needs, or speech issues, please go back with your child and do not let them see Dr. Kate/Kim, or whatever dentist/hygienist they have named Kate or Kim. A name that starts with K and she has blunt bangs. She is impatient and lacks compassion and because of that she caused unnecessary harm to my son. She used a fish hook maneuver on my son to get him to comply and lay back that I’ve never witnessed any other dentist do before. He got very upset and shouting that she hurt him and saying his cheek hurts. All she did was look at me and my son with an annoyed look on her face. I asked several of my other parent friends before posting this if they’ve ever seen this fish hook move. They were all appalled!! Now the “no parents in the back rule” is feeling very scary because how many times has Kate/Kim hurt a child without the parent knowing. It scares me to even think about it. She shouldn’t work with kids, she doesn’t have the right disposition. The dentist is already a stressful experience for adults, imagine how rough it would be for an autistic 5 year old.
Thankfully the dentist we usually see, Dr. Wu, came in the appointment and managed to complete the visit and my son calmed down. She is wayyyyyy better with children with special needs. She’s professional and patient. She understands my son has sensory issues and managed to get through the appointment fairly easily.
I want to talk to someone in management about my concerns. I’d hope they take my concerns seriously enough because they potentially have someone on staff who is intentionally hurting kids. Why is there no option on the phone to talk to management?
